CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

I woke up and I realised am still on the couch I heard laughing coming from the kitchen so I got up and slowly walked to the kitchen. They were making waffles, "good morning, sleepyhead," Martin said handing me some waffles "what time is it?" I asked them still very sleepy "9 am, why are you asking?" Alissa asked me "because I have my last appointment until this baby comes out," I said tapping my belly.

I'm really excited.

After I was done eating I walked my way upstairs to my room so I could get ready for the day.

As I was time getting ready I just sat on my bed staring at the wall. When my phone started ringing, I got my phone out of my pocket and look at the caller ID, it was Trevor.

I took a deep breath and answer the call "Hey brother what's going on?" I asked him acting chill " have you made a better decision yet?" Not even a hello, rude "how about a hello dearest little sister" I tell him As I rolled my eyes "And no, I haven't made it in yet I mean I don't think I really want to go back how my gonna tell everyone." I explained look if you don't want to go don't go not forcing you, just we want to look after you and like I said I don't trust him at all, I feel like he's gonna break your heart again so be careful okay." He explained.

Vinnie would never cheat on me again, right?

"Hey! You're back!" I heard Mia running up to me. She stopped in her tracks as she sees my belly and her eyes widened looking really shocked "damn girl your belly is getting big" she said, "yeah it is." I chuckled.

As I was talking to Mia, Vinnie came jogging downstairs then he sees and his whole mood changed. He smiled as he saw me and kissed me on my forehead.

"You ready?" I asked him. He frowned giving me a confused look "for what?" He really doesn't know what today is.

"Our last appointment until our baby comes" I smiled at him then kissed his cheek.

"Come on we're gonna be late," I said then we went into the car.

The whole car ride was silent and he didn't say a word I was kind of worried are you weren't talking to me. is he mad at me? No, he couldn't be mad at me. Did I do something wrong? Oh gosh, I did something wrong didn't I.

Maya, you got to stop talking to yourself okay, stop talking to yourself.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked him, really concerned about what he might say.

We stopped at a red light and you turned to me and said "No, why would I be mad at you?" He puts his hand on my shoulder and he sounded so calm.

"You just haven't been talking to me this whole car ride" I answered with my arms crossed.

"Oh baby I'm sorry," he said caressing my cheeks giving me a small peck on my lips.

The lights turned green can you start moving. We finally arrived at the hospital and how excited but nervous but mostly excited I don't know what I'm feeling right now I mean I'm excited but this is the last appointment but I'm nervous about the birth, you know you just gotta put him out of me and- is it gonna hurt? I don't know.

"You okay, my love" He kisses the top of my head, tells me then I'll be fine then and I'll do great.

We sat in the waiting room waiting for my name to be called and I'm holding his hand so tight you don't even know.

"Do you want to move back to New York with me" I randomly said. He looked at me and really confused about what I just said.

"What?!" I don't know if he's surprised or didn't hear me.

"I said do you want to move to New York with me," I said.

"Yeah I know what you said but why do you want to move back to New York," he asked me.

"I was really thinking about it and I just I don't know I I really think that- I just don't know I guess I like New York better than here and I know I'm gonna miss everyone but I didn't visit me I don't know" Gosh, I'm really bad at explaining.

"I mean if you want to go back to New York do you want me to come with me and then I'm all in," he said caressing my hand.

"You're not mad at me?" I asked.

"Now when I'm I even mad at you, my love" he kissed me.

Five minutes go past and my name was called. We got up and follow the doctor into the room.

"I heard this is your last appointment," the doctor said.

"Yes, it is," I said smiling.

I made down on the bed pretty relaxed and let the doctor do her thing. The baby was fine and all healthy.

"Your baby is all good," she said wiping off the gel that was on my belly.

"That's good," Vinnie said.

After the appointment was done we get back into the car and I took a big side of relief.

Vinnie drives me back to Alissa's house. We arrived and he turned off the engine.

"Can you stay for the night, please?" I asked him well staring at him so close to his face.

"Of course, my love," he said.
