𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒

y/n is far, far away. no where to be seen. maybe some where like italy, or america, somewhere beautiful. some where no one can find her.

jupiter. that would be a good place. a good place for her to run from her mother and father, so far until her legs scream in pain, telling her to stop. she doesn't stop. she never stops. she never looks back. her hands tightly wrapped around the straps of her satchel, filled with her sappy and unrealistic romance novels. no, a castle. a castle for her to rome free around. of course the de lune manor practically was a castle, but not her own, and not mother-free.

maybe she'd bring someone with her for company in her castle. maybe a lover to call her own. a tall, mysterious, quiet, powerful man to help soften the blow that was her life.

of course y/n wasn't ungrateful for what she had. she loved the gowns, and the long dinner parties the required a sliver of her attention, and caused her feet aching pain from standing and walking in uncomfortable heel's her mother forced her to wear.

in her dreams she's dead. she's no where to be seen. maybe she's the one that should go to jupiter. taking her string of pearls and manipulative glare with her.

y/n was an only child. something she despised. the only child to maria and charles de lune. a couple who made billions doing business. what this business was, she had no clue.

just like all the other people her parents brought her around, they were blood purest. making sure y/n only hung around pure blood girls who most likely also wanted to kill their mothers and fly away to jupiter. she believed her father deserved someone much more loving and compassionate than her mother. mr de lune, unlike her mother, was kind to y/n. protective, but kind.

the only good thing to come from her parents was money, her library that see filled with old books, comfortable couches covered in vintage expensive fabrics, and narcissa black.

narcissa black was the best person y/n had ever met. she was kind, courageous, and the strongest girl y/n ever met. she too had a blood purest family. she also had two sisters. andromeda, who loved y/n like her own little sister, and bellatrix, who simply tolerated y/n's existence.

"can i go outside?" she asks quietly, turning her head away from the large glass window to her mother, who sat at the kitchen table scribbling on parchment.

"and do what may i ask?" she replies, eyes fixated on the parchment.

"um, explore. maybe climb a tree and read a book. or have a picnic?" y/n asks. her mother slowly lifts her head to reveal sharp gazing eyes that burned y/n's soul.

"absolutely not. sounds dirty, and dangerous. no place for a lady."

"then where should a lady as horrendous and bored as i be?" y/n replied.

"go...get a fitting. anastasia needs to fit you for a new gown anyways. or pack your trunk for hogwarts you spoiled brat!" maria exclaimed, slamming down the quill onto the large oak table.

y/n scoffed, marching up the stairs to her large room, slamming the heavy white door.

jupiter. jupiter shall be the perfect place to go to hide from her mother.

y/n's and ana's arms were full of heavy books as they walked down the hallway toward her room.

"just set them there ana." y/n politely chirped, pointing to her large bed. ana nodded understandingly, setting the books on her bed.

y/n walked to her vanity, sitting on my plush stool, staring thoughtlessly into the mirror. yes, a castle would be perfect for her. y/n gently pulled her h/c hair out of her face, into a ribbon. stupid stupid h/c hair. just like her mother's. her father had grey hair she envied at moments where she hated her mother most, like now.

slowly she left her vanity, walking to her bed, pulling a few books out of the pile ana had set on her bed, and placing them gently in her trunk. her mind moved from her books to her clothes, then from her clothes to how excited she is for her sixth year. her sixth year with narcissa and marina. the years previous were nothing short of the best years of her life. being the slytherin princess, people drooling over her, begging to be friends with her. she was far from arrogant about this fame, she actually used it for good as best as she could. people were surprised she wasn't sorted into hufflepuff, or maybe gryffindor.

like when she found myrtle picking on a second year, which she immediately put a stop to. myrtle hadn't let her forget that. constant remarks and comments of pure hatred and jealousy. she had grown quiet tired of it. quiet tired of everything. the one thing she felt happy about, was being able to see tom in her potions class.

she thought about him often, only between picnics alone in her backyard with her nose in a book, hair floundering in the breeze. complete attention on the pages. she never understood why she wanted someone of her own so badly. maybe because of the romance novels she involved herself into, or the movies or magazines. growing up in the 60's, y/n was involved heavily in muggle and american culture. more specifically, marilyn monroe. marilyn monroe was the answer.

watching marilyn have men wrapped around her finger, loving and embracing her made her feel lonely, helpless.

she was far from this of course. being the smartest witch of her grade. she couldn't help but sigh at these thoughts. thoughts she buried herself into any moment she could before she was pulled out of them by someone needing something from her.

"miss y/n....dinner..." ana stated in the doorway. y/n nodded, pulling herself off her bed gently, sock covered feet padding down the grand staircase that led to a large living and dining room.

"come dear." mr de lune grunted. y/n sighed softly. all she wanted, was something of her own. not pre-used, or picked out by her mother.

hers. just hers.
