HALLOWEEN WAS A BIG DEAL IN THE DE LUNE HOUSE.
Big balls and fancy dinners followed by rituals and potions for lucky and intellectual spirituality.
y/n, personally loved dressing up and eating candy with lucius til they threw up or ran around til they passed out sprawled across her bedroom floor. She spent months on her costume, and this year Charlie was in on it too. To say she was ecstatic was an understatement. Halloween growing up was filled with costume preparation by Ana, enforced by her mother of course. Her mother sometimes insisted she be a ballerina, but she would usually rebuttal that she was a ballerina everyday of the year, and she should be something else for one night. Usually this didn't get the best response from her mother, but she couldn't care less. One year, she dressed as a princess, and Lucius dressed as a fairy. She never let him forget this.
"Luci!... look what i have!" she sang as she sat at the large tale for breakfast on Saturday. Lucius looked at her, instantly groaning once he relaized what she had.
" throw that supid thing away!" he grumbled, as Narcissa grabbed the picture out of y/n's hands. Tom glanced at her appearance for the day. Her h/c hair in a clip, baby hairs falling around her face, her favorite red sweater and a pair of jeans.
"Oh my merlin!" Avery exclaimed, holding the picture.
"We were like...7. Look at his wings!" y/n said, cracking up with laughter. Tom glanced at the picture. The two children stood at the bottom of a grand staircase, y/n in a large deep red play ball gown, lucius in a tank top and one of y/n's tutus, a pair of white sparkling fairy wings strapped to his back.
"Personally, I think this should bring this ensemble back this year for halloween." y/n stated, placing a piece of watermelon in her mouth. Lucius rolled his eyes.
"What are you guys being?" y/n asked.
"I'm not sure, I was hoping you'd help me figure it out." Avery said. Marina sat at the table beside y/n.
"What are we talking about?"
"Halloween costumes."
"Really? What are you pulling out this year y/n?"
"Im being yoko ono, of course." y/n said.
"Who's being john-"
"Hi, y/n" Charlie said, as he stood behind y/n. She turned to face him with a smile.
"Hi charlie." she says. Tom rolls his eyes at their greetings to one another.
"You forgot this yesterday." Charlie says, placing the frankenstein book on the table, a red book mark stood out over half way through the pages. She'd loved the book since he'd given it to her a few weeks ago.
