"𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆..."
Tom whispered to y/n, as the classroom around them buzzed with excitement for the weekend to begin.
"Yes, questioning of myrtle's disappearance." Tom said quietly. y/n felt the pit in her stomach grow bigger.
"Do you think they're going to question me? Or just Myrtle's close friends?" y/n asked. Tom sighed.
"I have reason to believe one of her friends threw you under the murdering bus.'' Tom joked.
"What?" y/n asked.
"You know, the fued you had going on."
"We did not have a fued"
"Why do you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Justify and deny the things that make you rebellious."
"Maybe not everyone wants to lead a mass genecide, riddle." Y/n shot back. Tom smiled at this.
"Children! Children!" Slughorn began, tapping his quill against his stand that stood in front of the classroom.
"Ah! Now that I have everyone's attention I would like to assign your final project for this year." Students groaned in response.
"With your table mate, you'll write an essay on your favorite potion you've learned this year. " y/n paused for a second. Polyjuice potion, angel's trumpet, veritaserum, amortentia. She smiles
"Class dismissed!" Slughorn announced as the bell chimed through the school. Tom picked up his things with one hand, y/n's in the other.
"I can-"
"Want to go to the library and begin the project?" Tom asked softly. Y/n paused. She knew the only reason he was acting kindly was because she'd be questioned soon, so she let him.
"Sure..." y/n responded, walking quickly to keep up with Tom as he walked towards the hallway. Tom's fangirls were quick to notice the sudden affection that Tom gave to her. Whispers and stares were obvious to seemingly everyone but Tom, who happily continued to the library.
