Remember Me ( Sequel to Paradise to Disaster)

Chapter 11

" Dad " She called out into the apartment which Hades had redesigned to recreate the underworld he had lived in his glory days

" In here Mally " he called back

" Hey, how are you keeping? " she asked when she finally faced her father

He had been absent from her life for eighteen years yet they had managed to develop some sort of a father- daughter relationship. He was willing to change for her unlike her mother who until the day she dies,  she will scream out 'long live evil ' and 'evil always wins ' in euphoria.

" Fine I suppose, this will have to do. It's not what I am used to but again I'm trying to change. For you "

" and I appreciate that "

" What's up? You look simply distressed?" Hades asked as concerned as a villain of his type could be

" It's Ben. He was talking a lot of nonsense earlier " Mal said

" Well that boy is always talking crap? I don't see what is the issue? " Hades added

Mal rolled her eyes

" He is certain we have been married and have a kid together. He's very confused "

" Well that is quite....odd "

He wanted to say something crueler but for his daughter's sake he chose his words carefully.

" You'd think I'd remember that? "

" Maybe he's looking for a way out of that arranged marriage. I've seen Ella and I wouldn't agree to that union and I was married to the mistress of evil "

" She seems difficult "

" Do you think he's telling the truth? " Hades asked with a sense of humor

" Of course not! Something about him makes me think I have a history with him but it's like.......like magic or something is blocking me from remembering....the last few years are very foggy. Nothing began to feel right until I danced with Ben at the ball and ended things with Spencer " Mal rambled on

" YOU ENDED THINGS WITH SPENCER? THANK THE LORDS. I REFUSED TO GIVE HIM MY BLESSING BUT HE PROPOSED ANYWAYS " Hades yelled

Mal laughed at his reaction. Nobody hated Spencer more than her father. Or maybe it was only the men she dated he hated.

" Is there anyways you can see if a spell has been casted on me? "

" I wish I could " Hades sighed " As powerful as I am. Fairy Godmother is the only being who can do that. You probably could too because of your fairy blood "

Mal sighed

" I have no idea. I need to go and talk to her anyways. I'll see you later "

" Mal, you might want to wait ? "

" What? Why? This is important "

" Mal it's 4am " Hades remarked

" Oh right " Mal said slightly embarrassed

She returned to her apartment to wait a couple hours. Hopefully by the end of the day she would know the truth about what has happened and maybe just maybe Ben could be right. It sounded like a beautiful fantasy and if it was true maybe she could find her happy ending.
