HERO

Standing there watching the doors close I hear the words "I love you" fall from my mouth. It was in that moment that I realised, I do love her. I love her with every fibre of my being. Banging on the door "Alice baby, come back, come back to me please"

ALICE

All I hear is blood pumping in my Ears, I know I can't look at him, the moment I do, I know I'll cave in, I'll fall straight into his arms. Turning around in the lift, he's there. I take one look up as the doors close, he looks broken. Did he just say I love you?. You don't say that to someone you've cheated on. I can't, I just can't.

The walk home was a daze I don't remember getting Home or into bed.

I wake to Mum gently shaking me "Wake up darling, it's Two o'clock" I don't want to wake I want to sleep forever. Rolling over "leave me alone"

I drift off. I see his smile, his dimple, he's perfect in every way, I love him, my Hero, holding my hand in the Park, singing loudly in the Car looking a fool because I know that's what I'm like, I'm a fool in love but, he knows that, that's why he said it. I loved him from the first moment I bumped into him. "Sweetheart, you need to eat something" Says Dad gently stroking behind my Ear. "leave me alone" I manage to get out before I fall asleep again. An image of Hero, dressed like Mr Darcy flashes in my head.

As the weeks go by I can't think, my head hurts, my eyes are blood shot from crying to much, I'm all out of tears for him. I can't stomach food, it comes back up and I've all but given up on college, why bother.

HERO

I wake up to pounding on my door "What the fuck?" I ask as Bea storms in.

"I hope you're proud of yourself?" Standing there hands on hips with a face of fury.

"No, I'm not. Bea I don't know what to do. She wont take my calls"

"Well what do you fucking expect Hero? she's practically catatonic, barely eating, hadn't spoken for weeks, YOU did that" pointing at my chest

"OH" my legs go weak

"Is that all you have to say? OH!?"

"I'm a prized fool" feeling the fire burn in my chest again.

"No, you're a fucking tool, stay the fuck away from her from now on"

"I can't, I love her"

"Shame you didn't realise that before you went with Sammi. Of all people, it had to be slag attack" Shutting the door behind her.

Falling to the floor, breaking down, what do I do...?

ALICE

"Heya mate, please come over, we miss you. We'll order pizza and swoon over Harry Styles" pleads Bea "Even Mark misses you, that's saying something, he normally hates my mates"

"Cheers" Scoffs Josie

"You know it's true" Winks Bea

"Yeah he's a tool, doesn't know a good thing if it pokes him in the Eyes"

Mum walks in "Go sweetheart, it'll do you the world of good"

I just want to be left alone, why can't anyone see that. But, I do miss Bea and Josie even Mark. "Okay" I croak

"Really?" Clapping her hands together "Oh Alice I'm so happy"

"lets get you in the shower, you stink" Josie adds Wrinkling up her nose. "and no mention of that man"

"It's okay guys, you were mates with him before me"

"Nope, you're our best friend, you're our priority" Smiles Josie

The tears start to fill my eyes again, deep heavy sobs rise from my chest "Why has he done this to me? I didn't do anything wrong to him" My Eyes are on fire "And then after all that, he tells me he loves me, what a sick thing to say"

"Oh honey work on yourself and don't think of him" Soothes Josie

"yeah, he's a Flea, a Nat that needs swatting" laughs Bea. I can't help but giggle at her.
