Alice

"Maybe I over reacted?" I ask Bea

"Oh hell no you didn't" She exclaims walking over to me "Look... He assumed you were going to say no for some idiotic reason, then slept with that thing. You're worth a Million times more than him"

"I guess so" I miss him so much though. I just hate knowing I'll never see him again" Dreaming of him every night, seeing his broken face by the lift; I'm on the verge of tears all the time since I heard he has left for Rome Seven months ago.

"Look, come out with us on Saturday to Jason's, everyone misses you?" Bea pleads

"Fine I'll come out, but I'm not getting to drunk, I have an early start Sunday. Meet me after work. I finish at 6"

"Brill, see ya tomorrow" she shouts waving like the loon she is, making me laugh.

Hero

I'm going out of my mind. She is all I think about, she's everywhere I look. In my dreams. I miss her eyes, those beautiful eyes. I need to see Alice, MY Alice. I must see her.

Alice

"Let's partaaaaaay" Shouts Josie as we walk into Jason's. Mark walks over to give me a hug.

"He's on his way home" he whispers in my ear.

"Really?" feeling that excited feeling in the pit of my stomach "when will he be back?"

"Should be tomorrow I think. I saw him a couple of months ago and he was a broken Man Alice, he is desperately sorry!"

"I'll talk to him, I've had time to think as well"

"Good, because he is in the bedroom" he smiles

My legs feel like jelly "Oh crap! okay. Let me get a drink first". Sweet Jesus. Grabbing a paper cup of Lord only knows what and gulping it in One, then another and another. "Right! I'm ready. Okay... I'll be back in a bit guys"

Everything is in slow motion as I make my way across the hall to the bedroom. Opening the door, I gasp in shock, Hero is sat on the edge of the bed, but it isn't my Hero.

"Alice...!"

For a split second I'm rooted to the spot, I can't help but burst into tears at how frail he looks.

"Al hunny, please don't cry" He is holding me now. Feeling his arms around me comforts me "Look at me hunny, look at me" Taking my face in his hands.

"Wha... What happened to you?" I manage to get out between sobs.

"I'll be okay sweet, now I've seen you" he says as he lays kisses on my forehead.

"We need to talk Hero" taking his hands into mine, they're cold. Ice cold.

"Are you back for good" I ask him anxiously.

"Only if you want me to be?"

"I think so" I whisper.

"Really, are you sure?" a little smile forms on his pale face.

"I am, as sure as I can be anyway"

He takes my hand in his and kisses it. "How have you been?"

"I think you know, Mark would have kept you updated"

"He has a little. I just want to see, feel and hear your voice! I'm a mess without you. You are my whole world Alice"

"You did this to us, you cheated"

"I know, I know" running his hands though his hair. No matter how many times I say I'm sorry, I know it'll never be enough. I know I have to prove it to you. I've been nothing but a jerk from day one"

Standing up to face him "But I know that's not who you are, not really" placing my hand on his chest "You do have a heart" He laughs as I said that "You know what I mean"

Stroking my cheek "God I love you Alice, I missed your laugh, your cute smile"

"Kiss me" drawing him closer to me "Kiss me Hero, please don't ever leave me again"

"I wont hunny" holding me so tight, he's scared of losing me.

"Take me to yours?" Fisting his t-shirt now, the need in me to have this man is like no other feeling I've ever had before.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Hero, yes. I want you" his deep heavy kisses take my breath away. He wants me too, he does love me. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.
