We hauled Jackson in the back and we hopped in Argent's car. He drove us out of the parking lot and towards the place we were to meet the Hales and my brother.
Argent stopped the car in the alleyway in front of the warehouse. I stepped out and opened the trunk to check on Jackson. Something was off though. He stopped moving.
"He stopped moving," I stated, peering out to look at them.
"Where's Derek?" Argent asked.
At that moment, a big animal ran towards us. It did a flip in the air and landed on the ground as his human self.
"I'm here for Jackson, not you," Argent told him.
"Somehow, I don't find that very comforting," Derek replied. "Get him inside."
Argent drove him into the warehouse. Issac and Scott dragged him out and onto the floor. I looked around, not seeing Peter. I glanced at Alex and he nodded. I clicked my pen and held my bo staff against his shoulder before he opened the bag any more.
"We're saving him, Derek," I reminded, knowing what he wanted to do. "We're not here to kill him unless we absolutely have to."
"We absolutely have to," Derek snarled. He grabbed my staff, ripping it from my hand. "Gerard controls him now. It's better we kill him before he kills us."
"What about- "
"He's turned Jackson into his own personal guard dog," Derek yelled over him. "And he set all of this in motion so that Jackson could get even bigger and more powerful."
"No," said Argent in denial. "He wouldn't do that. If Jackson's a dog, he's turning rabid. And my father wouldn't let a rabid dog live."
"Of course not!" I turned around to see Gerard. "Anything that dangerous... that out of control... is better off dead."
Derek raised his clawed hand, but then, Jackson woke up, sticking his hand in Derek's stomach. He pushed him up and Derek balanced on his claws, then was thrown into another room.
"Well done to the last, Scott," Gerard said. "Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him. You just didn't realize you were also bringing Derek to me."
"Revenge... "
An arrow shot at Scott and he ducked. It hit Issac in the chest instead and he fell. "Issac!" I turned back and saw the figure turn back around the corner. Allison.
"Come on," Alex said.
He picked Issac up. Scott grabbed his other arm and we went into another room for cover. They set him down and I kneeled beside him.
"He can't heal until that arrow is pulled from his chest," I said, glancing at Issac. "I'm gonna have to... " I grabbed the arrow and he nodded. I pulled it quickly and he let out a pained moan. "Okay... "
Scott stood up, shifting. After a moment, Issac could stand. Both of them exited the room and Alex looked at me for approval and assurance.
"Help them," I nodded. "I need to find Allison and stop her. Be careful."
"You, too," he said and ran back to the room with the kanima.
First, I needed Thorn. I ran back to where Argent's car was and it was unguarded by any hunters. I found my pen underneath it and ran towards it.
Then I heard gunshots. I ducked and grabbed the pen as I rolled under the car. I peered around the car, then I jumped back as he fired again. The bullet bounced off the car, then it hit the window, shattering the glass.
