"She's not dead!" Derek exclaimed.
"Derek, he said 'There's a dead body. It's Erica.' Doesn't exactly leave us much room for interpretation," Stiles said.
"Then who was in the vault with Boyd?" Derek asked.
"Someone else, obviously," Stiles replied.
"And maybe it was the girl on the motorcycle, the one who saved you," Scott thought aloud.
"I saw the girl," I spoke up. "Medium dark chestnut brown hair, around Lydia's height maybe... She was a werewolf, too. I could tell."
"What if that's how Erica died?" Stiles asked. "They, like, pit them against each other during the full moons and see which one survives. It's like werewolf Thunderdome."
"It's sick is what it is," I commented.
"Then we get them out tonight," Derek concluded.
"Be smart about this, Derek," Deaton advised. "You can't just go storming in."
"If Issac got in, so can we," Derek said.
"Well, I always heard that if someone broke into a place, the people would make sure it wouldn't happen again," I told him. "Besides, he didn't get past a vault door. I saw at least two Alphas, plus the one that caught Issac, plus that blind man."
"You saw him?" Derek asked.
"Didn't look like too much, but I'm sure I'm wrong," I responded. "We need a plan."
"How are we gonna come up with a plan to break into a bank in less than twenty-four hours?" Derek questioned.
"Uh, I think somebody already did," Stiles spoke. "'Beacon Hills First National closes its doors three months after vault robbery.' Doesn't say here how it was robbed, but it probably won't take long to find out."
"How long?" asked Derek.
"It's the internet, Derek," Stiles replied. "Okay? Minutes."
:::
"Guys!"
I woke up from the sound of a fist hitting the door. I sat up in Stiles's bed, the stapled papers falling into my lap. I looked at Stilinski.
"Lucy, Alex just called," he said. "He was worried about you so you should call him. I gotta get to work. You three gotta get to school."
"Dad!" Stiles called. "Heather?"
"No, nothing yet," he replied sadly and walked away.
"Ten hours and nothing," Stiles said irritably.
"We're gonna find something," Scott assured.
"In what? Ten years?" I remarked, standing up. "They'd be long gone by then."
"We still have time," Scott told us.
"Is this whole, like, 'remain optimistic in the face of complete and utter disaster' thing a part of the 'be a better Scott McCall' program?"
