Blair Sprouse had a habit of overthinking. After the wild comment section on her recent post about Madame Hydra she desperately needed to rant. So she now sat on her kitchen counter in her trailer with one knee pulled to her chest and the other leg curled in. Her phone was softly ringing while pulled to her ear and she bit her lower lip in anticipation.
She just wanted the person on the other end to answer the damn phone.
"You've reached Sebastian. Leave a message at the beep," the voice said after four rings. Blair sighed in exasperation, "Damn," she muttered while moving the phone away from her ear as she was about to end the call but a shout from the other end startled her. "I'm just kidding!" the voice yelled.
A smile grew on Blair's face and she laughed, "I was ready to hang up," she told the other person. "Without leaving a message? That's so barbaric," the man laughed. Blair shifted and smiled, "Sorry, Seb, you aren't worthy of a message if you didn't answer my call."
Sebastian laughed, "No one is worthy of a voice message from you."
"That's true," she giggled.
There was an awkward silence between the two and Blair found herself staring at the monthly checklist on her fridge that tracked her medicine intake. She shivered at the thought of it, how it was slightly crooked and some of the checkmarks were in different colors... she felt like a new person. "What's going on, B?" Sebastian asked with a concerned tone in her voice.
She shrugged though obviously, Sebastian wasn't able to see that, "I need you right now," she said softly while trying desperately to hold back tears. "Blair," he responded back just as quiet, "You say the word and I will fly there immediately. I-I don't know a lot of what's happening but when you texted me the other day I knew you were hurting... just maybe not this much," he said with the most sympathy he could fathom. Blair was one of his great friends, he treated her like a little sister and she was hurting right now. She needed someone or else she was going to relapse again and devolve into a downward spiral.
"Tom is just - " a tear falling interrupted her thoughts and she sniffled, wiping it away in a rush and bringing both her knees to her chest and resting her chin atop them. "He's upset with me and when I try to call him he won't respond. I think it's over but I love him, Sebastian. I love him so fucking much but what if this is it? What if - "
"Okay, take a breath, Blair," he ordered. He then waited to hear her take a shaky breath before continuing on with his words, "I want you to think about this, alright?"
"I've been thinking about this for days."
"That's not what I meant," he sighed. "I want you to take one minute and think about how much you love Tom and how much he loves you. Tom is an actor, he understands how contracts work and deals with directors, yeah? If he's unwilling to understand that and that it's the reason you kept a work thing from him then that is his own issue. You're growing up, Blair. Not just in maturity and age, but you're becoming a more professional and strong actress. You're in the middle of filming a sequel to Disney and just wrapped on your second Marvel movie. You're the real deal now."
