Another week had passed and many things had changed. Deaton had allowed for his daughter to go to Beacon Hills High School, reluctantly to the insistent pleas of both Kaelin and Anna. Kaelin and Anna had become friends over the time that they spent together. After training, Kaelin would rest and sometimes find herself in the comfort of Anna. Kaelin felt better with Anna. She didn't like her expectations that she received from Deaton. Kaelin was very grateful for what Deaton had done for her, but sometimes she couldn't handle it. Kaelin didn't want to have expectations to live up to. She didn't think that she was good enough, that she would be able to help anyone. She could never be more wrong. Even though, Deaton would tell her stories about her ancestors, about the previous Protectors, Kaelin couldn't help but feel different. She felt different from the other Protectors, knowing that she would never be able to live up to their example.
One thing that kept her going was her friends, her loved ones. Stiles had found peace in helping Malia gain control. After weeks of searching for ways for the possibility of Kaelin to be alive, he simply stopped. Stiles would occasionally go to her grave and speak directed to Kaelin. He felt like she was there, even though she wasn't. She was perfectly fine at Deaton's house.
Well, I wouldn't say perfectly fine. Even with her succeeding her goals for training, Kaelin was still remembering things. Kaelin was seeing things. Sometimes it was her mother, but most of the time it was Kate. Kaelin was happy honestly. She knew that there would be consequences of coming back from the dead, but she didn't know that she would be seeing things. She would rather hear Kate call her a monster than her mother. She found the only way to shut them out was to believe that she was something. That she was someone with a mission. That she was worth something. She didn't tell anyone that this was happening, not even Deaton or Scott who would search for a way to help her. Deaton and Scott told her that she would be able to see her loved ones soon and she didn't want to throw away that chance.

Kaelin barged into Anna's room beaming.
"What the hell?" Anna groaned as she tried to shield her eyes from the light that gleamed through the window. Kaelin walked over and opened the blinds. Anna wanted to stay in bed. She was not amused about what was happening. Obviously.
"It's my last day here!" Kaelin squealed, "I get to see them again!"
Anna rolled around in her bed before pulling the blanket over her head. Kaelin rushed over before pulling the blanket back off of her head.
"Let me sleep." Anna whined.
"No." Kaelin said, "Tomorrow is going to be your first day at Beacon Hills."
"So?" Anna huffed.
"So, you need to choose an outfit." Kaelin said in an obvious tone, "And I also know someone who would love to help you."
"I've heard." Anna said annoyed as she sat up in her bed. "I'm not interested."
"Come on." Kaelin pleaded, "It took them a long time to make sure that it was okay for me to go back. You know, Scott spreading the rumor, me gaining control. I can be your tour guide."
"You lost your chance when you woke me up." Anna said annoyed.
"Aren't you happy for me?" Kaelin asked.
"Of course I'm happy for you." Anna said, "But do you even know what you're going to say to them?"
"I-I." Kaelin stuttered.
"Exactly." Anna said, "You've been gone weeks, Kaelin. They thought you were dead. I know that they'll be happy to see you, but they won't be able to forgive Deaton and Scott. Not for keeping you in this place for a couple of weeks without telling them."
