RUMOURS •••••• Lexi stood at her locker putting textbooks back into her compartment, before heading to Glee Club. However, as she closed her locker, a newspaper was shoved in her face.
"Hey!" Lexi yelled, as she pulled it out of her face to see Becky standing there. "What is this?"
"This week's Muckraker! You might want to keep an eye on your boyfriend, and also figure out where you came from, and who you belong to..." Becky snapped. "And confirm the rumours that you're pregnant, or else you'll end up like your mom, and alone."
"I'm not pregnant." Lexi shook her head, trying to process all the words shooting out of the girl's mouth. "Nor is my boyfriend cheating on me." She added, as she read the newspaper. "Plus, I know where I came from, and who I belong to...that's personal...and only I get to give my consent to tell my whole story." She added, as she felt on the verge of tears. "To whoever I please." Lexi added, as she ripped the newspapers out of Becky's hand, and took off down the hallway towards the choir room.
No one except, Santana, Sam, Brittany, Quinn, Kurt and Finn knew that Lexi was born to her mom at a young age. That was something personal, and the rumours about her mom being on the market, and everything else that integrated and factored into that story - well it was violating, and being spread throughout the school. And she knew that if it reached the rest of the Glee members, they were bound to start talking about it.
Lexi entered the choir room holding the newspapers. She was relieved when she saw Sam, and a few other members there. Walking right up to Sam, she handed him one of the newspapers.
"What's up?" Sam asked, squeezing her hand gently, sensing Lexi was on the verge of tears.
"Just, read this." Lexi pointed to the front page, as Sam read the article. He frowned at the rumour about him, and he also noted that the rumour about Lexi and her mom was still going around. He didn't have much time to think about it, because an angry Finn Hudson stormed into the choir room.
Finn abruptly approached Sam. "What the hell is this, due? What blondie former cheerleader is having a secret Moonlight Motel rendezvous with another big-lipped blondie?" He asked, aggravated, and angrily.
"Where does it say that?" Sam asked, as Lexi held onto him, trying to comfort him, and generally for her own comfort. She didn't want him to explode out of anger.
"Right on the front page of the school newspaper!"
"Calm down, Finn." Lexi pleaded quietly, trying to get the tall boy to breathe, and give it a rest. She exchanged a glance with Quinn.
"You don't seriously believe this, do you?" Quinn asked.
"Well, why shouldn't I?" Finn asked. "Why wouldn't he do the same thing I did to him?"
"Because it's gossip, Finn." Quinn argued.
"And Sam isn't someone who would cheat." Lexi added. "I'm his girlfriend, and I can clarify this." She said, as Sam wrapped his arm around her protectively.
"This is your fault!" Santana yelled, as she came into the room and went straight to Brittany. "You told everyone that I played for another team on your ridiculous melted cheese show."
"Wait. Are you mad?" Brittany asked, confused. "You do play for another team. You were on the Cheerios, and now you're only in the New Directions."
"And you couldn't have thought of any other way to say that?" Santana asked annoyedly.
"I'm gonna punch your face off!" Finn yelled, suddenly shoving Sam. This only caused Sam's anger to rise, so he shoved him back.
