The moment darkness overwhelmed me, I glimpsed the face of the past. As I saw my mother's face and felt her hug, I felt a familiar sensation all over my body.

As I feel the emotion of belonging to a place where am I meant to be, I am filled with joy and tranquility. I was in a room in darkness.

I could hear groans until I woke up and saw a flash of light in my eyes, accompanied by feeble calls for my name.

"Kianna. Oh God. You're finally awake!"

I immediately heard Zoe's panicking voice. Even though I couldn't see her well, I knew her nose was red from crying.

Someone touched my face, caressing me and it seemed to provide relief from the pain I was experiencing right at this moment. I heard a few more unfamiliar voices before I was swallowed up again by the darkness.

A smile appeared on my lips when I saw my friends. Seeing them was the wandering of my eyes to find the shadow of my father, but I failed to see him.

This reality, I believe, is much more painful than the wounds I have. I was silent for a minute, and my frigid eyes gazed up, as if looking for an answer to the question that had been bothering me for a long time.

I have no idea how I ended up in the hospital or who brought me here.

My feelings were even exacerbated by the continual prospect of such a thing. The chasm between me and the rest of the world has grown even wider. When I heard the sound of contentment and comfort, I snapped back to reality.

"Kianna! Thank God!"

When I discovered I was back, I finally heard the voice along with the voices of concern and excitement. I discovered caramel combined with the color of the brown eyes of a woman who exuded obvious care and love. Zoe covered her mouth and hurriedly woke up the rest of our friends.

"Hi," I greeted weakly and he immediately ran to hug me.

"Kianna Reeves."

They said it in unison and immediately ran closer to me. I was even hit by someone directly on my wound, causing me to complain. Geez.

Lynia immediately slapped Joseph and looked sharply at him, while the latter just smiled apologetically.

They both sat on the side of my bed and I was surprised when Zoe and Lynia held both my hands and looked at me warmly as the two men anxiously looked at me and sighed as if they had reduced the thorn in their chests.

They looked like they were having diarrhea so I sneered at the two who looked at me in disbelief.

"Ikaw na nga 'tong nasaksak, ikaw pa 'tong nagyayabang," Gio said while looking at me sharply.

He twitched his jaw slightly, ipinapakita ang galit ngunit mas nangingibabaw naman ang pag-aalala. Lihim akong napangiti.

"Anong nararamdam mo? Kumusta ang sugat mo, Kianna Reeves?" tanong ni Joseph habang sinisipat ang kalagayan ko.

I hid my grin as I thought of something foolish.

"I don't know. Tanong mo sa sugat ko."

He winced at my answer and glared at me.
