S1E4: Head Noob in Charge

We see the blues outside of their base, standing next to their tank.

Tucker: "C'mon, Carmine, give us some details!"

Carmine: "I'd uh... Rather not."

Church: "Why not? Tucker shared some of his... stories. I only think it's fair that you share something too."

Tucker: "See! Even Church agrees with me!"

Church: "I still fuckin' hate you."

Zeta appears over Carmine's shoulder, her arms crossed.

Zeta: "Maybe Carmine still has bad memories here. So why don't you back off?"

Carmine: *sigh* "It's fine, Z. I got this."

Carmine takes a deep breath before sitting on the hood of the tank.

Carmine: "I'm gonna say this now, and I'm only gonna say it once. We weren't ever together. But I liked her. I don't know if she felt the same. We met through work."

Tucker: "And where'd you work? Before this?"

Carmine: "We were in... Boot Camp together. She was hands down one of, if not the best fighter there. She kicked my ass plenty of times."

Church: "Must've been really good to beat you."

Carmine: "She was. Like I said, probably the best one there."

Carmine goes quiet for about a minute, fiddling with his knife.

Caboose: "What happened next?!"

Carmine: "Well, the last time I saw her we had a... disagreement. And then a few months later, I was shipped out here just before Flowers died."

Tucker: "...What's her name?"

Church: "I was thinking the same thing."

Caboose: "Yes! I would also like to know the name of this nice lady."

Carmine: "...Caroline."

Carmine stares at the knife in his hand, specifically at the handle. Engraved into the handle is a single letter: "C". Church clears his throat.

Church: "Well I'll uh... I'll let you in on a little secret. I've uh... I've actually got a girl back home myself."

Tucker: "Oh yeah? Girlfriend or wife?"

Church: "No man, she's just my girlfriend, ya know? We were gonna get married, but I got shipped out... ah, you know how it works."

Carmine: "What's her name?"

Church: "Allison."

Carmine: (thoughts) "Allison... Could it be?..."

Caboose: "I'm not gonna get married. My dad always said, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?'"

Church: "Hey, rookie... did you just call my girlfriend a cow?"

Tucker: "No, I think he called her a slut!"

Carmine: "The fuck? Where'd you get that from, Tucker?"

Church: "I'll tell you what, noob. I could sit out here and listen to you insult my girlfriend all day long, but as it turns out, I got a lot more important job for you."

Caboose: "Great."

Church: "See, we've got this General."

Tucker: "Right, the General guy."
