Chapter 7

Freaking out

~Jughead's POV~

So I went to the wyrm and discussed about the missions , we have got a lead in this mission . And I hope we get the name of the gun owner. After the discussion I went to cooper house. I have the keys so I opened the door quietly and saw betty was lying on the kitchen floor behind the table and it looked like she is been beaten by someone. I was about to go near betty but then Mr.cooper dragged betty by her hair and smashed her on the kitchen counter and was about to hit her. I was in complete shock , I was trying to go near by then accidently I dropped a lamp . So he stopped and somehow he figured out it was me. H-'' hey jughead is that you?'' J-'' yes Mr.cooper, sorry I was looking in my phone and accidently dropped our lamp.'' I said while picking up the lamp . H-'' It's ok .'' He said in a polite tone while holding betty up , she looked very weak and was not facing me , she was facing the opposite side she was holding the kitchen counter as a support. I was in shock and didn't know what to do so I went straight up in my room. And I was freaking out .

[After 1 hour]

I was in my room and was wondering what to do . Then after few minutes I decided to go out of my room , I saw Betty , she was hurt very badly, her head was bleeding. She didn't saw me  and went to the roof , I quietly follow her . I saw that she sat on the roof lighted a cigarette and plugged her earphones and started to listen some songs. I was shocked , she was bleeding badly and instead of cleaning herself she is smoking and listing songs, it looks like she didn't care , it looks like she....      

goes through this regularly . She didn't even make a sound when her father was beating her. It looks like she has no emotions in her . I was planning to talk to her , but then I decided to give her time and talk to her tomorrow . So I left and went to my room . I couldn't sleep, I was thinking about Betty all night .

~Betty's POV~

[ When jughead was at meeting and Betty came home]

When I came home H-"where were you?'' he asked angrily . B-"I was at Veronica's place ." H-"LIAR!!!!!" B-" I am not lying I was with Veronica ." H-" THEN WHY THE HELL A BOY CAME DOWN FROM YOUR ROOM AND SAID THAT YOU HAD SLEPT WITH HIM , HUH!!!" He shouted . B-'' I don't know what are you talking about." Then suddenly she started to hit me . He beat me for like hours . Then the door opened and someone came inside , I was laying on the floor of the kitchen so my father lifted me up and whispered to me H-" Don't you dare say a word ." Then he started to talk to jughead . I was not facing him so he couldn't figure out what was going on . But still I was weak so I took the support of the kitchen counter. He talked to my father and went into his room . Then my father again dropped me on the floor . Then he also went to his room . After few minutes when I got the energy to get up I went on the roof and started to smoking and listening to songs. After 1 hour I went to my room and fell asleep.

[Next Morning]

~Jughead's POV~

I woke up and got dressed for school. When I went down I noticed that Betty already left for the school , so I had my breakfast , hoop on my motorcycle and went to school. When I entered the school I saw Betty talking to Veronica , so I decided to talk to her after school . I know she works for the school newspaper and she has to work after school for it .

[Few hours later]

School is over so I am going to talk to Betty . When I entered I saw her sitting on a chair and working on her laptop , she didn't notice that I came inside . I saw that she was working on her laptop . She had covered her bruises with make up J- "hey Betty." B-''what do you want jughead." She said looking at me . J-"actually I want to talk about something ." B-'' about what?" She said going back to work on her laptop. J-"actually I like to write so I wanted to join blue and gold." She looked up at with a weird expression B-'' you want to join blue and gold ." She said in kind of shocked tone and with her one eyebrow up J-"yeah." B-'' you can't join like that , you have to show me some piece of your work . " J-" ok , I will give my work till tomorrow afternoon." B-'' ok , now leave." J-'' ok see you later." B-'' I hope not." She mumbled  While going back to her work .But I heard her , after that I  left . She looked tired so I decided not to talk with her right now . I will talk to her later.
