Epilogue

Phoenix's P.O.V

      I looked in the mirror as Mother fixed my veil and Evie did my make-up. Uma and Mal watched from the distance with small smiles on their faces. I looked at my engagement ring with a soft smile. I still could not believe the day I've always dreamed of, my wedding day, had finally arrived. " Phoenix you look beautiful, Carlos is going to lose his mind when he sees you " Mal said as Evie finished my make-up. " Thank you, Evie I am in love with my wedding dress. Thank you for helping me plan this whole thing. I honestly don't know what I would do without the two of you " I said as Evie laughed before pulling me into a hug. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, causing the hug to break and making me tense up. " relax relax, it's just me Dizzy" a voice came making me relax a bit " oh my gosh Phoenix you look gorgeous " Dizzy said in awe while Lucille walked in the room with her father " okay guys give her some space. " Mal said laughing a bit leaning against the wall before looking at me with concern " Easy, Phoenix. Why don't you sit down? You look like you're gonna pass out " She said as Evie gently sat me down in front of the mirror.

      Mother looked at me with tear filled eyes. LJ had the same expression making me smile a bit standing and pulling him in a hug " where does time go " he said as Lucille smiled at me tears pricking her own eyes. " We're going to be outside. Lucille please come get us if Phoenix starts having an anxiety attack " Mother said before leaving the room with Little John following close behind her. Lucille looked at me as I placed my face in my hands " nervous " Lucille asked as I nodded, trying to steady my breathing as tears pricked the corners of my eyes. Good thing the make-up Evie had applied was waterproof. Lucille giggled, shaking her head as she brushed her hands across her lavender dress. I looked around the room " what if he's having second thoughts, what if we're not to be, what if he- " I said as Uma placed a hand on my shoulder to calm me down. Evie smiled making her way to me, kneeling to look me in the eye and brushing the tears that had managed to slip from my eyes " Phoenix if he wasn't ready he wouldn't have asked you. If you weren't ready you wouldn't have said yes. Also if you two weren't meant to be then you two wouldn't have made this far. She said reassuringly as I nodded looking in the mirror, smiling at my reflection feeling a little better as Evie's words echoed through my mind fighting off what little doubts I had. Suddenly the door opened revealing my father and Ben " Phoenix, You look as beautiful as your mother did on our wedding day. " Father said, pulling me into a hug and kissing my head. Ben looked over to me taking my hands in his " Phoenix you look amazing, Evie did a fantastic job on that dress along with your makeup. Carlos is very lucky to have you as his bride " he said, making me and Evie smile. I sighed as Ben pulled out a box from behind his back " The look wouldn't be complete with this " he said, opening the box revealing a golden locket that I had treasured since the day I got it " I know it isn't the locket you're parents got you, but I hope you will wear it " he said as I smiled taking the locket in my hand and cradling it. It had my initials engraved in like my previous one, but under my initials was an engraving that said ' The sister I never had. ' I smiled as Evie took the locket from me and pinned it around my neck " Thank you Ben " I whispered as he hugged me " You're welcome Phoenix" he said pulling away as Mal stood up. " Beautiful...It really completes the look. Ben can you stay here with the bride while we make sure Carlos doesn't faint " Mal said as Ben nodded happily " I'd love too " He said as Mal and Evie walked out of the room. 

Carlos's P.O.V 

      Today was the day, the day I got to marry the love of my life. I was lucky I got to call her mine and to be honest I was a little nervous. I felt like I was going to faint " Carlos. " Mal and Evie said, running into my room, catching my attention instantly " How're you feeling " Evie asked as I chuckled nervously " Like I'm going to faint. What if Phoenix is having second thoughts? " I said my nerves getting to me as Evie rolled her eyes at me " Like I told Phoenix, if neither of you wanted to get married or if you weren't meant to be you wouldn't have made this far. I guarantee she is not having second thoughts. She loves you more than any word could describe" Evie said, reassuringly as I sighed in relief. " Well, little brother you clean up nice. " Mal smiled as I returned the smile with my own. " Now I know how you and Ben felt on your wedding day. " I said as she laughed " Don't worry. It gets better from here. Plus it will be worth when you see Phoenix walking down the aisle " She said as I smiled at the thought of seeing my bride walking down the aisle. Wedding bells chimed from outside, signalling it was time to walk down the aisle " That's our cue " Evie said leaving the room and headed towards the bride's room with Mal following close behind her while I headed towards the alter.
