Chapter 14

No one's P.O.V 

       Meanwhile in a cottage in the forest Audrey was looking in the scepter as the core four,  Phoenix, Uma, Harry, Gil, Celia, and Janis walk off towards Ben's castle. She noticed that Mal had broken her spell and she wasn't too happy about it either " How did Mal break my spell? " Audrey said turning to Chad who coward slightly from the tone of her voice " I don't know " he answered his voice giving away his nervousness. Audrey put the scepter down and grabbed a glass bowl turning back to Chad " And what is Uma doing here? " she said walking closer to Chad the glass bowl still in her hand " Hey no no no no no " Chad holding his hands in front of him as Audrey threw the bowl causing him to duck.  Audrey grabbed the scepter while Chad was on the ground " Come clean Chad where did they go? " she asked as Chad coward under her intense glare " I don't know, I don't know okay, I can go check for you how about that? " he asked about to scramble away but Audrey stopped him before he could make his escape " Stay! " she said sternly causing Chad stay exactly where is he was. Audrey came over placing a hand on his head causing him to flinch at first before relaxing under her touch while she started petting him like he was a dog " It's about to get a little ugly " Audrey said as Chad looked up at her with a worried expression on his face. Audrey stepped petting him before chuckling evilly with a malicious smirk on her face. 

Phoenix's P.O.V 

     It didn't take us too long to make it to the castle and as soon as we got there we began searching the halls for Ben. Dude led the way because being a dog he had a great sense of smell " Ben could be asleep anywhere " Mal said sounding hopelessly as I turned to her with a playful glint in my eye " If he is, you can just kiss him to break the spell " I said knowing that true love's kiss can break any spell even if was casted by Maleficent's scepter " Or he could be turned to stone " Celia cut in after my statement causing Evie to place a hand over her mouth " Ben " Mal called out as I rolled my eyes but chose not to say anything " I got his scent. Very pungent cologne. Easy to track. Follow me people " Dude announced as I sniffed the air my face morphing to one of disgust " That boy goes a little too heavy on the cologne " I muttered interlocking my hand with Carlos's who smiled before kissing my cheek. I smiled to myself fiddling with my necklace while trying to hide the blush " That's great dude " Jay said knocking me out of my thoughts causing Carlos and I to look at him " FYI I give great cuddles too " Dude spoke matter-of-factly, why he decided  to tell this information right now is beyond me. Gil was surprised by this information or it seemed like it anyway " Really?  I never had a pet growing up. Well except that elk head in Dad's man cave but that wasn't... " Gil started before trailing off not bothering to finish what he was saying. 

       Uma walked up to the wall noticing there were claw marks decorating the walls and tearing down a portrait. " Hold up " she said stopping us as my attention went to the claw marks on the walls " What's this " Uma asked as Carlos and I made our way to the marks and the tore portraits. I examined the marks frowning slightly grasping the understanding of where Ben could possibly be and what Audrey could've done to him " Uh...Any chance this was already there? " Carlos asked nervously motioning to the broken picture  as I looked at him a concerned look on my face " I don't think there is any chance that this was already here " I said faintly my face going pale with worry causing Carlos to squeeze my hand in reassurance " And follow me! " Dude said before taking off down the hall as we followed close behind him leaving the torn portrait behind. We soon came to a room full of armor " Stay here okay? " Evie said to Celia before we walked further into the room. Harry went to examine a sword while Jay kept a close eye on him " I can feel you looking " Harry said not turning to look at Jay " Good " Jay said back bitterly. I watched as Gil bent down to pet Dude " so you can track cuddle and talk. Hey do you think his puppies would be able to talk? " Gil said looking at the two of us as Carlos chuckled before lightly hitting his arm " Alright, man he's taken. You want a dog, adopt a rescue " Carlos said as I laughed at him " There's no need to be jealous. Dude's not going anywhere he's loyal to you...you're technically his owner and dogs are always loyal to their owner " I said kissing his cheek as Dude began to laugh " Talking puppies that's crazy " Dude said as if his current situation was the most natural thing in the universe.
