"You and Zeke look nothing alike," I noted after the group left, though I wasn't sure why I bothered with such a dumb statement.

"Huh?" He looked at me. "Oh, yeah. Like he said, we're only half brothers technically." Before I could say more, Eren handed me a pill. "Here—this might make you a bit sleepy, but it should at least help."

I nodded and took the pill from his hand, grabbing my water bottle from my bag. "Thanks."

I swigged the pill down along with a mouth full of water, closing my eyes.

"Knowing you, you probably drugged me with something," I said, laughing as I opened my eyes again to look at him.

Eren chuckled next to me. "You really think I'm that evil, huh?"

I shrugged, smiling.

"You good to work still or..?"

I nodded. "Yep, let's keep going."

He frowned at me. "You know we've been at this for three hours now. You don't want to take a break?"

"Nope. I'm good."

"Weirdo," he breathed, handing me my notepad.

We continued to work for about a half hour more, silence taking over the atmosphere.

The pill seemed to help somewhat, but it also made me feel sleepy—like Eren said it would—and my eyes began to droop.

Eren didn't seem to notice, his attention still on the laptop in front of him.

My grip on the pen in my hand loosned as I let my head tilt back. I'd just rest my eyes for a few moments—I could hardly keep them open.

After what felt like only three seconds, Eren judged me with his shoulder. "(Y/N)," he said gently.

"Hm?" I asked, my eyes still closed.

"I'll move to the other couch, you can nap here if you want."

"Mm," was my only response, his words not making much sense to my still sleep-idled brain.

I was starting to feel hot, as I'd fallen asleep in my hoodie. So without even opening my eyes, I sat up and slipped my hoodie off, throwing it onto the floor before collapsing back onto the couch.

I wasn't awake long enough to see whether Eren had held true to his word about moving.

The ache in my right side woke me up however many hours later, and I gripped my stomach before even opening my eyes.

But when I finally took in my surroundings, my eyes fluttered open despite how tired I was—the pain somehow building itself higher and higher.

The room was almost pitch black—how long was I asleep?

I heard someone's breathing from somewhere close by, and I assumed that Eren was still here. And by the sound of it, it seemed as though he'd fallen asleep, too.

I shifted in my spot, realizing I had a blanket thrown over me. Was Eren the one to do that?

Before I could think too long on that, I sat up, gripping my stomach as another wave of pain took over me.

What the hell?

I fumbled for my phone, not wanting to wake up a sleeping Eren. Reaching for the coffee table I could somewhat make out in the dark, I grabbed my phone, turning on the flashlight.
