The miserable bus ride finally came to an end, and we arrived at the Museum of Anthropology right on time, according to Pyxis.

On our way out from the bus, one person had to grab a worksheet for them and their partner. I still refused to work with Eren, so I grabbed my own and hopped off the bus.

Eren had taken his own as well—perfect.

I was still on the look out for Annie. I'd seen her with Mikasa on the bus, but after that she seemed to be lost in the other thirty students who were gathered together.

I looked up at the museum ahead of me. It was pretty impressive—abstract wooden art and architecture made the building an interesting shape.

Large trees surrounded the area—covering the cloud bank that had set over the sky today. It was pretty windy, too, and I shivered, wrapping my thin jacket around myself tighter, wishing I'd brought something warmer.

I noticed Eren next to me—neither of us speaking and both of us looking around desperately to find Mikasa and Annie.

I finally spotted them. They were standing together near the front of the museum, and I basically ran over to them—not caring whether Eren was following or not.

"Annie!" I shouted as I approached. "God, I was looking everywhere for you."

"Hey! Sorry I didn't tell you," she replied, then paused. "But... Mikasa and I kind of need to be partners today."

I raised my brows, looking between the two of them. Interesting. "Oh, uh, okay sure," I replied, taking a step back. Mikasa didn't seem to have anything to say, instead just looking around at everyone, probably trying to find Eren.

Annie nodded, looking a bit uncomfortable. "It's hard to explain—but I'll tell you later."

I smiled at her reassuringly. "Don't worry about it." I looked around at everyone. "I should probably..."
Probably what?

"Eren!" Mikasa said all of the sudden, and I looked back to see her waving him over.

He walked up to the three of us, frowning. "What, Mikasa?"

"Annie and I are partners today—you're going to be with (Y/N)."

"What?" Eren and I said in unison.

I'd rather eat dog shit.

I must've said my thoughts out loud, because Annie laughed. "We all would, (Y/N)."

"I am not working with him—"

Before any of us could remark any further, Mr. Pyxis got our attention once more. "Alright, everyone! You should all have your partners and your worksheets. Now, I don't want to hear any complaints or excuses, so get this done by the end of the day. The instructions are all there. You and your partner can answer the questions as we take the tour—or after, if you prefer." He paused his shouting to flip through his clipboard. "Right, that's about it. Now head inside, come on!"

The crowd of students shuffled their way through the large wooden entrance and into the museum. Mikasa and Annie followed everyone without another word to us.

Eren and I stayed where we were, though.

I shot him a glare, and he smiled at me teasingly."Ready to go, partner?"

"I'm not your partner," I stated.

"(L/N)! Jaeger! Hurry the hell up and get inside—the tour is about to start," Pyxis said as he walked by us and into the building.
