Deception [ k.c ]

        Klaus looked blankly at Caroline. She didn't say anything else. She started panting really hard and looked him in the eyes.  

        "Klaus... I'm just scared. I-I don't know what to do.." She said as she wrapped her arms around herself. Klaus took a few steps closer to Caroline. He looked at her apperance and then grew angry.

        "What happened to you?" He asked grabbing her arms. She didn't say anything. "Caroline answer me!" She looked him in the eyes with fear and shook her head.

        "Finn..." She said quietly. Klaus pulled Caroline along with him and he put his arm around her. He wanted her to be safe and he knew that being out on the street wasn't a place for her. Klaus was angry with himself because he left Caroline all alone for Finn to just take. 

        "Rebekah?" Stefan asked through the phone. 

        "Stefan what a surprise." She said sarcastically. Stefan rolled him eyes to himself. 

        "Have you seen Caroline? She ran off and-"

        "She's fine Stefan, she's with Klaus and her humanity switch is back on but she isn't in a good state." Rebekah said through the phone and relief washed over him. 

       "We're about to be in New Orlenes, can we meet you guys somewhere or?" Stefan asked as he turned onto another street. 

        "Just come to the Mikaelson house." 

        "But we do-"

        "You'll know it when you see it, maybe your friend Bonnie can help you." She said and hung up the phone. 

          "Why did you turn it off?" He asked Caroline as she took another sip of her coffee.

          "My mom, she um, passed away." She said softly. Klaus walked over to Caroline and sat down next to her.

          "I'm sorry love." He said and put his hand on hers. "But Caroline you need to know something, I have a-"

           "Caroline!" Caroline and Klaus turned around to see Elena and Bonnie running towards them. Elena and Bonnie wrapped they're arms around Caroline.

           "I'm sorry.. " Caroline began to say but stopped.

            "No, no Care. I'm sorry." Elena said pulling away from her. Caroline turned around and looked at Klaus.

           "You were saying you had something?" Caroline asked Klaus. He smiled at her and replied with;

         "Nothing."
