08 [ part 2 ]

a/n: I usually do my author note at the end but people are NOT happy with steroline, and I totally agree and I'm anti-steroline. In part 3 of chapter 8 Caroline will start feeling different for Stefan and stuff but I don't want to give to much away, so don't worry! She will NOT end up with Stefan. xoxo

        Klaus stood in the middle of the living room waiting for Stefan and Caroline to appear, he wanted her to be happy and he didn't want to get in the middle. Not like he did with Tyler and Caroline, even though he doesn't regret it. Stefan and Caroline walked through the door hand in hand but right when Caroline saw Klaus she removed her hand from Stefan's.

        "It's okay Caroline I know you two are a thing now." Klaus said with hurt in his voice but he quickly covered it with sarcasm. "Rippah," Klaus said walking over to Stefan. He put is arm around him and smiled. "The three of us are back at it, just like the time when-"

        "Don't talk about it." Caroline said through her teeth. She didn't want to be reminded of the time when she killed 12 witches. Klaus put his hands up in the air.

        "Sorry love," Stefan shot Klaus a look, but Klaus obviously wasn't affected by it.

        "Well, what's going on?" Stefan asked him. Klaus sat down in his chair and looked at Caroline.

        "Since Caroline decided to turn off her humanity switch, she pissed off a few people and kind of has my brother and sister after her." Klaus said finishing the statement as if it were a joke. Stefan looked at Klaus and then back at Caroline.

        "So what do we do?" Stefan asked, trying to make sure nothing happens to Caroline.

        "We need to stop them, that's the obvious move." 

        "I don't think this is a good idea, having Stefan and Klaus working together. Since, you know, they both are in love with Caroline." Elena said walking next to Bonnie. 

        "Well, they both want the same thing. To protect her. He's an original and we all know Stefan is tough when he tries." She said. Elena agreed with her. They stopped talking when they saw Caroline running towards them. 

"Oh my god you guys I've been looking for you two everywhere!" She said almost yelling. Elena and Bonnie laughed at they're best friend. "Anyways, we should go do something, like go out to eat. I don't know, I just want to be drama free for one night. Plus, we all haven't hung out in a long time." Caroline said with a smile. 

        "Yeah sure, why not." Elena said as they all coninued to walk with each other.         

        Klaus and Stefan sat across from each other awkwardly. Klaus was the first to say something. 

        "Listen Stefan, I know that you and Caroline are, um, together," Klaus formed his face into a cringe, and continued. "Anyways, I'm not trying to break you two up or anything. But, her happiness means a lot to me, and I'm not going to ruin that." He stated. Stefan leaned forward in his chair and looked at Klaus closely. 

        "I know you wouldn't Klaus, but on the other hand. Who is the baby you were talking about yesterday?' Stefan asked. 

        "Stefan, there are a lot of people I don't trust in this world, but I am going to trust you." Klaus said standing up from the chair. "Her name is Hope and she is my daughter." Stefan stood up as well and walked closer to Klaus. 

        "It's not in my place to say anything to anyone about her, Klaus. You have my word." 

        "Good." Klaus said walking out of the room.
