Deception [ k.c ]

        Caroline pulled away from Klaus and looked him in the eyes. She turned away quickly and took a few steps back. Klaus looked down at the ground and regret washed over his face. 

        "I'm sorry.." He said and walked away from her. She didn't chase after him, she didn't need too. She didn't love Klaus and she didn't want to make things worse. Yes, she had chemistry with him and she was beginning to care for him, but that didnt mean she loved him. Caroline looked down at the ground and felt as if she should of done something but she didn't. 

        "I know you love her." Klaus said as he walked inside the house. Stefan stood up from the couch and walked over to him. "But I can't kill you." Klaus stated. Stefan looked at Klaus with confusion. He thought that Klaus would rip his heart out in an instant but he didn't. "I love her as well Stefan, and I won't hurt her. Not emotionally or physically. I also know she's in love with you. And I rather her be happy than be miserable with me." Klaus trailed off at the end. 

        "Klaus, I'm-" Klaus cut him off. 

        "I really don't want to hear it. I have something to do," Klaus said as he turned around. 

        "And what's that?" Stefan asked him. Klaus stopped in his tracks. He turned around to face Stefan but didn't move from his spot. 

        "I have to go see a beautiful baby girl that means the world to me." Klaus said leaving Stefan behind in shock. 

        Hayley sat down on the floor next to Hope and smiled at her. She admired her beautiful baby and would protect her from anything in the world. Nothing would hurt her. Hayley promised herself that she would die for her. Hayley looked up from Hope to see Klaus walking through the door. 

        "Well, look who finally showed up." Klaus glared at her and picked Hope up from the ground. He kissed her head and smiled at her. 

        "I'm in no mood today Hayley so can you please leave me alone." Klaus said walking into the other room. Hayley stood up from the ground and followed Klaus. 

        "What is the matter with you? You seem more down." Hayley asked him. He looked at her with annoyance. 

        "She's here." He whispered. Hayley put her hands on her hips. 

        "Who?" Hayley asked but she already knew. 

        "Caroline."
