08. [ part 3 ]

        Klaus walked through the woods alone. He needed some time to think to himself and it couldn't even be at his own house because it was taken over. He sat down on the groud and opened up a fresh beer. 

        "I don't think it's a good thing to come out in the middle of the woods by yourself." Klaus turned around to see his sister Freya standing a few feet away. He stood up quickly and had his guard up. 

        "What do you want Freya?" He asked her. She took a few steps closer and smiled. 

        "You know what we want Klaus, her. We tried with Hope and that obviously didn't work. So, Caroline seems like an easier shot." She said almost laughing. Klaus ran up to her and grabbed her by the neck. 

        "You won't touch her." Freya didn't seem afraid she looked past Klaus and watched at Finn walked up to them. Finn used his magic to bring pain to Klaus. Klaus let go of Freya and fell to the ground. The last thing he saw was Finn smiling before he passed out. 

        "So you and Stefan?" Elena said smiling. She grabbed her cup of coffee from the table and took a drink. Caroline started to blush.         

        "Yeah, but I don't know. I just keep getting the feeling that it's not... right." She said, her smile dropping. 

        "Just give it a chance Care, he's good for you. You need him." Bonnie said leaning forward. Caroline began growing angry. 

        "Maybe that's the problem, I shouldn't need someone. I should be able to take care of myself." She snapped. Bonnie sat back in her chair. 

        "That's not what I mean." Bonnie said defending herself. "I mean, he's always been there for you. I know that you need him to be there for you." She said and Caroline put her face in her hands. 

        "I'm sorry Bonnie, I'm just-" Caroline was cut off by the sound of her phone going off in her pocket. "Hello?" She asked. 

        "Caroline where are you?" She heard Klaus ask on the other end. She looked around the table at Bonnie and Elena. 

        "I'm out with Bonnie and Elena, what's up?" 

        "I need to talk to you now, come to my house." He demanded. Caroline rolled her eyes to herself. 

        "Not right now-" 

        "Now!" Klaus yelled and hung up the phone, and that's when Caroline knew that she had to go. 

        "Um, I have to go. Klaus needs me." Caroline said getting up from the table. She grabbed her jacket from around the seat and put down the money she had to pay. "I'll call you later." She said walking out of the building. 

        "Klaus?" She yelled through the house. Klaus appeared around the corner with worry on his face. "What's going on?" She asked. 

        "Freya and Finn are after you, or atleast going to come after you. I just need to know that your safe." He said to her. She crossed her arms over her chest. 

        "Well, it's not your job to worry about me." She said to him and he sighed. 

        "Well, I'm sorry for wanting you to be safe Caroline." He snapped at her. She frowned and sat down on the couch that was next to her. 

        "It's not like your my boyfriend Klaus, you don't have to make sure I'm fine all the time." Caroline told him calmly. 

        "That's the thing Caroline, I want to keep you safe." Klaus admitted. Caroline snapped her eyes towards him. 

        "Don't Klaus, seriously don't." Caroline said getting up from the couch. She began walking towards the door. 

        "Don't leave Caroline, stay." Klaus said reaching his hand towards her. She stopped and turned around. 

        "I'm not doing this." She said, her heart began pounding. 

        "Caroline, can you not see that I love you." Klaus said walking towards her. Then before Caroline could even process the words he was inches away from her. He put his hand on her cheek and she looked him in the eyes. Then something in her snapped. She pushed Klaus away from her, but not that hard to were he would fall. 

        "Stop it Klaus, what do you want from me? My confession again?" She said growing angry. Klaus didn't say anything. "Fine then! Yes, I feel something for you. Something I don't want to feel! You make me weak and honestly Klaus, I hate you so much." Caroline began crying. "And... I can't resist you. It's like everytime I think I'm done with you. And your never coming back, I... I find my way back to you... Klaus. I do hate you. But I love you more.." Caroline said. Then she didn't want to fight him about it anymore. She ran up to him and kissed him. Klaus smiled and held her in his arms as he kissed her back. 

        "Caroline.." Caroline pulled away from Klaus quickly and turned around to see Stefan standing in the doorway.
