[ Chapter One ]The Droids
Katerina sighed as she gave Beru a hug.
"Why don't you go with your cousin?" Beru suggested. Katerina grinned, catching up to Luke. "Luke, Katerina, tell Owen that if he gets a translator to be sure it speaks Bocce." Their aunt called out to them.
"It looks like we don't have much of a choice but we'll remind him." Luke said.
The thing was, Katerina loved her aunt to death, but she would much rather someone call her Kat instead. Sound familar? It should. It's how Scar was, never wanted people to use the name Scarlett.
Kat and Luke walked over to Owen.
"Luke, Kat, take these two over to the garage, will you? I want you to have them both cleaned up before dinner." Owen told the two. Kat had to keep her eyes squinted because of the blazing sun.
"But I was going into Toshi Station to pick up some power converters..." Luke whined, causing the older cousin to roll her eyes and cross her arms.
"You can waste time with your friends when your chores are done. Now come on, get to it! Both of you." Owen responded.
"All right, come on! And the red one, come on. Well, come on, Red, let's go." Luke ordered.
Katerina furrowed her brows when she noticed the droid not following, then when it did, a plate popped off the head. "Uncle Owen..." Luke trailed off. "Yeah?" "This R2 unit has a bad motivator. Look!" Luke explained. Kat looked between the two.
Owen turned to the head Jawa, "Hey, what're you trying to push on us?" Owen questioned.
The Jawa went into a loud spiel, the golden protocol droid tapped on Luke and Kat's shoulders. The droid then pointed to another R2 unit, "Excuse me, sir, ms, but that R2 unit is in prime condition. A real bargain." The droid told them. The Skywalker cousins shared a look and shurgged.
"Uncle Owen..." Kat said this time, Luke was going to say it instead, but Kat beat him to it. "Yeah?" "What about that one?" She asked.
Once the R2 unit headed in their direction, they headed in.

"It just isn't fair. Oh, Biggs is right. I'm never gonna get out of here!" Luke complained.
Kat loved her cousin to death, but if she had to hear him complain about not leaving one more time, she was gonna take the blaster and shoot herself.
"Is there anything I might do to help?" The golden droid offered. Luke had a tiny smile on his face as he glanced at the droid, "Well, not unless you can alter time, speed up the harvest, or teleport me off this rock!" Luke exclaimed.
"Yes, Kat, you too." Kat said sarcastically, narrowing her eyes at him.
Katerina tuned out of part of the conversation, sitting down beside the R2 unit.
"Uh, you can call me Luke. And that's Katerina-" "Kat." She corrected. "I see, sir Luke." Kat and Luke laughed at that. "Just Luke."
"And I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations, and this is my counterpart, R2-D2." C-3PO introduced.
Kat heard something about the Rebellion against the Empire.
She didn't pay attention a lot, she was sitting on a crate, tapping her foot lightly.
That's when a hologram played.
There was girl, maybe around Luke's age. "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope."She said. Why in Alderaan did Kenobi seem familar to Kat?
"Who is she? She's beautiful." Luke said.
Scar and Kat 🤝 not using their full name
