[ Chapter Twenty ]

Told You So

"Kat, how's Luke?" Frey asked as she entered the room.

She scoffed, "Found Yoda, took a bit of convincing for him to be trained." She sat down beside him. "I'm kinda cold." He stated truthfully. Kat stood back up, finding a blanket and placed it around his shoulders.

"Are we gonna be okay?" His voice had the child feel to it.

She nodded, "Yeah, we'll be fine. We're just stuck, I guess." Frey still was anxious. Katerina had him len on her shoulder, "I'm always gonna be here to protect you, you know that, right?" She told him. He didn't answer, "Do you remember mom at all?" He wondered.

She bit her lip, "Well, I remember bits an pieces..." She trailed off. "I remember she was blonde, hated being fancy or ladylike-" So, you?" He cut her off, grinning.

"She was one of the best pilots in the galaxy. Mom, mom was amazing. She ran most of her life, away from her parents, sister, almost everyone. Apparently she knew Obi-Wan because him and Qui-Gon needed a ride to a trade federation base." She paused, "Mom and Obi-Wan were close, maybe like siblings."

Kat had found Leia in the cockpit, just sitting there, dazed.

Soon an eye showed up, causing Leia to scream and Kat was just confused.

Kat and Leia ran to find Han. "There's something out there." Leia told him. "Where?" He questioned.

Kat blinked, "Out there. Seriously, do I really need to elaborate?" Katerina said. They all heard the banging noise. "I'm going out there." Han announced. "Are you insane?" Kat rhetorically asked, she knew the answer already.

"Just got this bucket back together. I'm not gonna let something tear it apart." Han explained. "Then I'm going with you." Kat sighed as she said that.

When they stepped out of the ship, it was misty and wet. "The ground sure feels strange." Leia commented. "It doesn't feel like rock." She went further.

"There's an awful lot of moisture in here." Han stated. "I have a bad feeling about this." Kat voiced.

Han shot at something, and Kat ignited her lightsaber. "Yeah, that's what I thought-mynock. Chewie, check the rest of the ship and make sure there are no more attached, chewing on the power cables." "Mynocks." Leia repeated.

"Go on inside. We'll clean them off if there are any more." And right after he said that, more came flying and Leia to scream again.

Kat used the lightsaber to get one of them. "Wait a minute..." The ground started shaking lightly. Both Han and Kat went over to Leia.

"The Empire is still out there! I don't think-" Leia exclaimed. "No time to discuss this in a committee!" Han responded. "I am not a committee!" They got to the cockpit and Katerina still had her lightsaber ignited.

"You can't make the jump to light speed in this asteroid field." Kat told Han. "Sit down, Kope! We're taking off!" Frey was just too confused at all of this, he should've gone with the others or something.
