[ Chapter Twenty-Seven ]

Frey's Having Another Anxiety Attack, Luke And Kat Arrive On Cue

"I can't do it, R2." Luke said quietly.

Kat crossed her arms, "You can't do what?" She questioned. "I can't go on alone." He stood up.

"You do know I'm right here, right?" She rose a brow, waiting for an answer.

"Yoda will always be with you." "Obi-Wan." The Skywalkers said in sync. His force ghost walked near them, through the vines. "Why didn't you tell me- us." Luke asked.

"You told us Vader betrayed and murdered my father, Kat's uncle."

"Your father was seduced by the dark side of the force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So what I told you was true.... From a certain point of view."

Luke cocked his head, "A certain point of view?"

"Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. Anakin was a good friend." Kat and Luke sat down beside Obi-Wan.

"When I first knew him, your father was already a great pilot, much like your mother, Scar. But I was amazed how strongly the force was with him. I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi. I thought that I could instruct him just as well as Yoda. I was wrong."

Katerina still got confused when she remembered he knew her mother. How close as friends they were.

"There is still good in him." Luke said.

"He's more machine now than man, twisted and evil."

Luke kept his eyes on Obi-Wan, "I can't do it, Ben." "You cannot escape your destiny. You must face Darth Vader again." Obi-Wan told him.

"I can't kill my own father." Kat fought the urge to roll her eyes.

She tapped her foot, something she's been doing more now than ever. "Then the emperor has already won. You were our only hope." Obi-Wan thought for a second, "You and Kat."

Kat just focused on the ground, if this was the only way to destroy the empire, she knew one of them had to do this. Maybe Luke couldn't kill his own father, and if he really wouldn't, this was the last chance, she would do it for him.

There might be another way, but if there wasn't, she had to be ready.

Frey sat down Chewie.

"I'm surprised they didn't ask you or Captain Kope to do it." Lando said. Han sat down, "Who says they didn't? But I ain't crazy, and Kat's not here right now."

"You're the respectable on, remember?" Han reminded.

Mon Mothma started talking, "The emperor's made a critical error, and the time for our attack has come. The data brought to us by the Bothan spies pinpoint the exact location of the emperor's new battlestation." The map came up.

"We also know that the weapon systems of this Death Star are not yet operational. With the imperial fleet spread throughout the galaxy, in a vain effort to engage us, it is relatively unprotected. But most important of all, we've learned that the emperor himself is personally overseeing the final stages of the construction of this Death Star."

Frey tried not to look terrified at what she just said.

"Many Bothans died to bring us this information." She turned away, "Admiral Ackbar, please."

"You can see here the Death Star orbiting the forest moon of Endor. Although the weapons systems on this Death Star are not yet operational, the Death Star does have a strong defense mechanism."

Frey's fingers started twitching, it's what he did when he was nervous. And even though it went unnoticed, it's a trait Lennox had too.

"It is protected by an energy shield which is generated from the nearby forest moon of Endor. The shield must be deactivated if any attack is to be attempted." The Admiral explained.

"Once the shield is down, our cruisers will create a perimeter while the fighteres fly into the superstructure and attempt to knock out the main reactor."

Attempt.

How reassuring.

"General Calrissian has volunteered to lead the fighter attack."

"Good luck. You're gonna need it." Thank you, Han, for giving humour to this situation. Actually, Frey was grateful for it.

One of the guys started explaining as well, "I wonder who they found to pull that off." Leia whispered.

"General Solo, is your strike team assembeled?"

"Uh, my team's ready. I don't have a command crew for the shuttle." Chewie roared. "It's gonna be rough, pal. I didn't wanna speak for you. That's one."

"General, count me in." Leia said. "Same here." Frey answered.

"We're with you, too." Everyone's heads turned to see Kat and Luke.

They were back again.

Kat and Han have been reunited.

We're all good.
