[ Chapter Thirty ]

Lacking Focus

Kat held the stance for over seven minutes and she was already getting sore.

"You have to keep practicing, Skywalker." Ahsoka pushed. Kat kept still, not moving from her original spot, despite the pain she was in.

Ahsoka just said one word, "Focus." Kat breathed in and out, trying to focus. She had to do this. It seemed so simple, all she was required to do at that moment was to focus, yet she couldn't.

There were voices in her head and they were getting louder by the second.

"I am one with the force, the force is with me." Katerina whispered to herself. She kept repeating those words to herself, over and over again to get it in her head.

She just couldn't focus. Every Time she tried, she'd lose focus. What if it was really important in the future, and everyone she cared about had just died because she couldn't focus?

What if she couldn't save everyone just because she could not focus.

Kat let out a frustrated yell, making Ahsoka to wince slightly. "Did you try to foc-"

"Yes, Ahsoka, I tried to focus but I can't. I tried. I told myself to, I came up with scenarios that were nearly impossible to try and help me but they didn't work." The Skywalker snapped. Almost immediately, she apologized for the outburst.

"Kat, you do have your father a part of you... It's just harder to see because you take after your mother so much." Kat looked up at her, tired.

The Togruta sighed, "Take a break." When the grey Jedi ordered that, she didn't refuse. She hadn't slept for days, partially because of all the noise going on and then training.

Who knew she would eventually be able to focus and save her cousin on multiple occasions, all because Ahsoka Tano had taught her how to.

I tried to write this for three days now. And I know it's short.

I'm at the point where I just wanna write for the next book now, but anyway...
