[ Chapter Twenty-Nine ]

Shuttle Tydirium

"Yeah, well, I don't think the Empire had Wookies in mind when they designed her, Chewie." Han told the Wookie. Han and Kat kept looking at the Falcon.

"Hey, are you two awake?" Leia wondered, peering over their shoulders. "Yeah. I just got a funny feeling, like I'm not gonna see her again." Han said truthfully. Kat looked at him, "We'll get 'er back, don't worry." She assured him.

She wasn't completely sure, but he was the one flying the ship, so he had to focus.

"Right. Chewie, let's see what this piece of junk can do." Kat told Chewie. "Ready, everybody?" Han asked.

"Alright, hang on." He warned the group, before they traveled through hyperspace.

"If they don't go for this, we're gonna have to get out of here pretty quick, Chewie." Chewie roared in response to Han.

"We have you on our scan now. Please identify."

"Shuttle Tydirium requesting deactivation of the deflector shield." Han requested.

"Shuttle Tydirium, transmit the clearance code for shield passage." The person commanded.

"Transmission commencing." Han said. Leia spoke up, "Now we find out if that code is worth the price we paid."

"It'll work. It'll work." He repeated. "Will it?" Frey questioned, still anxious about this whole thing. He started thinking about if he should've gone with Lando instead.

"Vader's on that ship." Kat and Luke said in sync. Leia looked at the two. "Now, don't get jittery, Luke, Kat. There are a lot of command ships." Han paused, "Keep your distance, though, Chewie. But don't look like you're trying to keep your distance." Chewie roared in confusion.

"I don't know. Fly casual." He rephrased.

"Shuttle Tydirium, what is your cargo and destination?" The person asked. "Parts and technical crew for the forest moon." Han answered.

"We're endangering the mission. We shouldn't have come." Luke referred to him and Kat. "It's your imagination, kid." Han replied.

"Han, can you do me a favour?" He nodded.

"Shut the hell up for one second, please." Her voice was firm, like her mother's.

"They're not going for it, Chewie."

"Shuttle Tydirium, deactivation of the shield will commence immediately. Follow your present course."

"Okay. I told you it was gonna work." Han grinned. "I have a bad feeling about this." Frey mumbled. Kat looked at her younger brother, "Frey, you're my brother and I love you, but you have a bad feeling about everything."

In reality, she had a bad feeling about it too. But she knew it wouldn't help her brother by voicing it.
