[ Chapter Twelve ]

And Just Like That It's Over

Katerina glanced around everywhere.

"You're safe! We had feared the worst." The guy composed himself, letting go of Leia, and letting a guy that looked slightly like Luke, to hug her. "Please don't scare me like that again." Leia smiled.

"I will try not to, Frey." Frey, why did that name also sound familiar to Katerina.

Katerina still couldn't get over the fact that they were at a rebel base. She also couldn't understand how Leia was so calm about all that was happening. She almost got killed, how could she just act as if it was normal?

Kat knew Han was gonna go, she wished he wouldn't, but it was Han.

"Let me guess, you're going with the money?" Han shrugged, "Your idea of the money." Kat knew he was telling the truth. "It's a shame, I was starting to not hate you." Han's back was turned, so she couldn't see the smile on his face.

What was it about Katerina Skywalker that made Han smile?

He turned around to face her, her head tilted as she looked at him. "But I get it, you gotta pay debt." She looked at the Millennium Falcon with a smirk on her face.

"Kat!" Luke exclaimed, looking for his cousin.

It was after the meeting about what they'd do about the death star, and Katerina had changed into a different outfit.

She walked to find Han again.

"So... you got your reward and you're just leaving?" Before she could move closer, she felt a tapping on her shoulder, causing her to turn around. "Hi." "Frey, right?" Frey nodded. "Thank you, for saving my cousin..." He trailed off, wondering what her name was. "Kat." "Thank you, Kat, for saving my cousin." She smiled.

He had a brotherly type of look or something.

"Uh, okay, well I'm gonna go say bye to my friend." She left that situation quickly.

She noticed Luke walking away from Han, "You going out there?" She shook her head. "No, staying here with Leia." Katerina bit her lip.

"I was gonna offer you to come with us, but-"

"I'm staying here." He nodded in understanding. "Be careful." He told her, making her scoff. "I'm always careful." He rose a brow. "You gotta be careful too." She turned to walk away, "You didn't blast my head into oblivion."

She had to bite her lip to stop herself from laughing.

Katerina just wanted this to go okay, just this one time. Then, she wouldn't have to worry about there being a future problem.

Kat sat in a room with Leia and the others, she tapped her foot lightly.

Frey kept calm, he'd been told he was a lot like his father. He knew he had a sister, and while he didn't reslly know who his sister was or anything, Katerina seemed a lot like how he pictured her.

Time went by, and Katerina wasn't even sure how it did.

But she knew it ended good because someone came up to her. She had no clue as to who it was, but she knew as soon as she turned around.

"How, how are you- what?" Han smirked. "Did you really think I'd fully leave you."

Her eyes widened a bit, "Where's Luke?" She questioned. "Right here, Kat." She let out a sigh of relief, wrapping her arms around her younger cousin. "You're okay, right?" She heard him chuckle.

They did it. They survived. How it went by so fast, Katerina really didn't know.

Yeah, I skipped that.

I kept contemplating whether or not I wanted to add 1. reveal of Frey being Kat's brother, or 2. Han admitting he liked her. So, I did neither.

However, they feel like they're siblings to each other, so there's no need to worry about me writing a scene like Luke and Leia, 'cause I just don't. No thank you.
