If Brett knew one thing, is that he had always hated Katlin. She appeared in his friend's life some time after Brett had understood his feelings for him. They had a relationship that ended a few months before he died. Brett never liked the way she treated him, not for the fact that she was his girlfriend, absolutely not. She was possessive and could get mad for a minimum detail if she thought he was cheating on her. Ok, maybe Brett magnified her behaviour, but it was clear that they didn't pair that well: they had lots of different ideas and they ended up arguing about stupid stuff very often. Brett couldn't have been any happier when they broke up, and couldn't have been any angrier when he saw her at the cemetery. She treated him like a doormat and she didn't deserve her occasion to apologize to him, not even dead!

Brett opened his eyes to see a blurred dark surrounding him. He was lying in an uncomfortable position with his wrists tied together. The rumbling of a car was roaring beneath him. He listened to some voices near him: they were talking about...about Nat, from what he understood. Little by little the voices became clearer and he could tell that one was Katlin's.

Katlin: "Was it really necessary? She was going away!"

505: "She would have told the police, you showed the gun agent 434!"

Katlin: "Yeah but I also had to sedate Brett and the chief didn't want it, agent 505"

505: "You know the protocol, I had to. Don't worry, she will be fine: I chose to erase her memory, she will forget the last thirty minutes ever happened"

Katlin: "I don't care about her, I care about him! How do we explain this mess to 000?"

505: "We just followed the protocol!"

Katlin: "AH!"

Brett shifted, grumbling from the pain in his back: he will have problems in rehearsals for a while after this.

Katlin: "Hey Brett are you awake?"

Asked a voice in front of him.

Brett: "Hum...my head...where-where are you bringing me?"

Katlin: "I'm sorry Brett but we are not allowed to reveal any details about the place we are headed to"

Brett: "I don't want to go then, stop the car and take this hood off my head!"

He regretted those words the moment he said them, remembering the gun.

Katlin: "I know you are afraid now Brett, but it is for your safety, trust me"

Brett: "Can you at least tell me what the hell is going on?"

Katlin: "I'm not allowed to, but I promise you it will become clear very soon as someone else will explain it to you"

Brett: "What about Nat, what have you done to her?"

Katlin: "Don't worry about her, she will be fine"

Brett could feel the car stopping and the two people getting down. Then a sharp, freezing hair arrived from his left side, and a strong hand pulled him by the arm out of the car. The hand became two and they pushed him from his arms forward. A warm wave of air splashed onto him, signalling they were entering a building. He kept walking, he was afraid something bad could happen to him or Nat if he didn't obey. After a good five minutes of walking stairs and elevators, he heard a door opening. The pair of hands on his shoulders changed with another pair and he couldn't be sure why but he felt safe in those hands. The long fingers pulled him in the room and forced him to sit on a soft surface. Then he felt one of the hands lifting and landing on his chest, pushing him down on the soft surface he was on, forcing him to lay down on his back: then the hands disappeared. He heard a metallic noise and his wrists were free.
