TWENTY SEVEN

(The School Trip)

(I decided to make my own version of the ski lodge episode with Lucy... this will still be my own plot and not the dialogue from the show 😌)

"THIS WILL BE THE TRIP OF SHAWN HUNTER!"

Shawn Hunter sat down on the bus as a grin remained stuck on his face. He knew going on a school trip meant two things.... girls and no classes. Cory walked onto the bus and Shawn motioned for him to sit next to him. "You know I already promised Topanaga I would sit with her." Cory tells him softly. Shawn groaned dramatically as he ran a hand through his hair. He watched as Cory sat down next to Topanga at the back of the bus. He was so excited that he was going to be single and in a new place filled with lots of girls looking for a momentary fling. He watched as multiple girls got onto the bus but he didn't feel like asking them to sit next to him. "Is that seat taken Shawn?" A random blonde girl asked him. "Yes... it's taken." Shawn told her sharply. He couldn't believe he just turned a hot girl away. He wanted this trip to be memorable and he couldn't do that if his mouth wasn't on someone else's mouth. His eyes landed on Lucy walking onto the bus. She was talking to one of the other guys in their class. Shawn couldn't take his eyes off of her as she made her way towards the back of the bus. He wondered how someone could look so beautiful. Her curly hair was down and Shawn loved when her hair was down. The closer she got the faster Shawns heart started beating.

Shawn grabbed her by her waist as she passed by and pulled her into the seat next to him. Sparks entered Lucy's stomach as Shawn had a tight grip on her waist. Lucy was very flustered as her hair blocked her vision. She moved her hair out of her face causing her eyes to land on Shawn. He slowly released his grip from off of her waist as he bit his lip. "Alright... I guess I'm sitting here.... you are so aggressive." Lucy mutters as she sets her stuff down on the ground. "Cory wouldn't sit next to me." Shawn complains as he gestures to his friend. "I'm sorry you got stuck with me." Lucy says as she looks over at him. "Wanna know a secret.... you're better than Cory." Shawn whispers flirtatiously in her ear. Lucy gasps dramatically. "Don't tell Cory that...I can't be the reason the iconic bromance is broken." She teases him. Shawn smiled as he couldn't take his eyes off of her. She rested back in the uncomfortable seat as she realized how close she was too Shawn. The bus was very tiny causing their legs to be pressed against each other. Any form of contact with Shawn always made her feel so nervous. She looked around the bus in order to not look at Shawn. She didn't need to be reminded of how hot he always looked.

"Holy... your hands are so small." Shawn says in disbelief as he picks up her hand. Lucy looked over as he pretended to examine her hands. She felt butterflies swarm in her stomach as her laced his fingers with her fingers so he was now holding her hand. "Was that just an excuse to grab my hand?" She asks him in a sharp tone. Their eyes locked as Shawn had a flirtatious look on his face. Lucy pulled her hand away from Shawn as she quickly looked away from him. She needed to remind herself that he didn't like her back and that he flirted with everyone. "We should play a game..." Shawn tells her. Shawn turned his entire body so he was now completely facing her. "What kinda game?" Lucy asks him curiously as she turns to face him. She hated how adorable he looked. He was wearing a baggy blue sweatshirt that looked so cozy. Lucy wanted to cuddle him the entire bus ride but she knew he didn't want that. Shawns eyes flickered to her lips but he mentally reminded himself that she didn't want him to kiss her again. "Rock....paper....scissor..." Shawn tells her. "That's lame.... but fine." Lucy mutters. The two played the game for a very long time. "How do you keep beating me?" Lucy asked him angrily. "I can read your mind." Shawn replies sarcastically. Lucy laughed as she rolled her eyes. Shawn loved the sound of her laugh. Every time their hands touched Lucy couldn't help but feel her heart hurt.

"I see something and it's got brown hair.... a cute smile and it's..." Shawn tells Lucy but she interrupts him. "Is it me?" She asks him softly. "Yep... you are correct." Shawn tells her softly. "Alright... I see something and it's white.... and fluffy..." Lucy describes to him. "It's a truck." Shawn replies in a dumb tone. "Trucks aren't fluffy idiot!" Lucy yells at him. "Oh... it's a cloud." Shawn mutters as he laughs. Lucy nods as a tired smile formed on her face. "I got another game... turn around and I'm going to write a word on your back and you have to guess what it is." Shawn tells her. Lucy turns around as she feels Shawn move her hair off of her back. Chills entered her body the moment he started tracing his finger on her back. Shawn wanted to kiss every inch of her body as he continued to write out a word slowly on her back. His mind could only think about taking off her shirt. Lucy couldn't even focus on whatever he was writing because he was making her so nervous.

Lucy could feel his breath on her neck as she slowly turned around. Their faces were inches apart and they could both sense the tension. Shawn quickly pulled his hand away from her back as he looked away from her. "I'm tired... I think I'm going to nap." He tells her softly. He knew if he continued he wouldn't be able to stop. Lucy nodded as she yawned. Shawn felt his heart quicken as she gently placed her head on his shoulder. He instinctively wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close to him. Lucy closed her eyes as she felt so cozy in Shawns embrace. Shawn went on this trip to have a great time and forget about Lucy but something inside of him kept dragging him back to her. He wanted to be around her and no other girl could change that.
