"WHY DID HE LEAVE?"

Lucy had barely touched her breakfast as her mind could only think of Shawn Hunter. He wasn't in her bed when she woke up. She wondered if he was alright and she couldn't help but worry about him. She knew he didn't go back home because he didn't want to be around his parents. "Cory....did Shawn contact you last night?" Mr. Matthew's asked his son curiously. "He.... he actually didn't... woah... I don't have to lie for once." Cory replied in disbelief. Lucy quickly chugged her cup of water nervously. "Is he alright?" Lucy chocked out. "Yeah... his parents said he ran away last night." Mr. Matthew's tells Lucy. "He didn't even tell me!" Cory yells angrily. Cory looked over at Lucy who looked oddly suspicious. "I gotta go... I'm going to be late for school..." Lucy rambled as she grabbed her backpack and headed out the door. "Shawn slept in Lucy's bed!" Morgan announces to the entire table. Lucy was already long gone but Cory sprinted out the door as he chased after her.

"Lucy!" Cory yelled as he was completely out of breath. "Cory? Why are you running after me?" She asked him curiously. "Shawn.... you.... bed...." Cory spits out as he struggles to catch his breath. "Look.... Shawn needed somewhere to sleep... and I helped him." Lucy tells her brother truthfully. "My best friend.... came to you..... instead of me." Cory mutters in a disappointed tone. "It doesn't mean anything." Lucy tells Cory sharply. "No.... Shawn chose you over me." Cory replies in a sad tone. "He didn't.... maybe he just didn't want you to see him when he was upset." Lucy tries to reassure Cory. Cory shakes his head as he has an angry look on his face. "Just.... Stay away from Shawn...." Cory tells her sharply before running away. Lucy throws her hands up in disbelief as she slowly walks after Cory. She arrived at school and headed to her first class. Her eyes landed on Shawn already sitting at his desk. "Why did you leave?" Lucy yells as she walks up to him. "Had to get to school..... your hair looks nice." Shawn replies as he gestures to her hair.

"Are you alright?" She asked him in a concerned tone. "Why wouldn't I be fine? I'm great!" Shawn tells her in a carefree tone. "Are you sure?" She asked him softly as she tried to study his facial expressions. "Shawn! There you are! You know you can always come to me for anything." Cory yells as he enters the classroom. "Yeah... I know." Shawn tells him softly. Cory looks at his sister before scoffing at at her and pushing past her. "He thinks you like me more." Lucy tells Shawn as she sits down in the desk next to him. "Cory... you know I could never possibly like anyone more than you." Shawn reassures the other boy. "I know... but look at her! Shes evil." Cory tells him aggressively as he points at his sister. Lucy flipped him off causing Cory to gasp in horror. Shawn zoned out for the entire class as he stared at Lucy who was sitting next to him. "Mr. Hunter will be paired with Ms. Matthew's." Mr. Feeny tells the class. "Yes! We're partners Shawn!" Cory yelled as he nudged Shawns arm. "No Mr. Mathews... I said Ms. Matthew's." Mr. Feeny tells the boy sharply. Corys smile fell as he glared at his sister.

"So wanna work on the project at my place? We could watch a movie.... maybe make-out on my couch." Shawn asks Lucy in a flirtatious tone. "Do you even know what the project is?" Lucy asks him sharply. Shawn tries to recall what Mr. Feeny just said but he simply can't remember.... leaving him with a dumb look on his face. "We will do the project at my place." Lucy informs him before picking up her books. "She's trying to break us up Shawn... you can't let her." Cory whispers nervously as he grabs Shawns arm. "Cory.... nothing could ever come between you and me..." Shawn reassures the other boy. Shawn turned his attention to Lucy waving at him before exiting the classroom. Shawn got a dreamy look in his eyes as he smiled and waved at her. Cory groaned in pain as Shawn seemed to be mesmerized by Lucy. When Lucy got home Shawn didn't show up to her house for over an hour. She assumed he wasn't coming and she wasn't going to waste her time waiting for him. She went up to her room and took a quick shower. When she was done she walked back into her room with a towel wrapped around her body.

"I'm so sorry I'm late..." Shawn mumbles as he opens up the door to Lucy's room. Lucy screams as Shawns eyes land on her. Lucy was only in a towel and her body was dripping water onto her bedroom floor. "Do you even know how to knock?" Lucy yelled at him angrily. Shawn couldn't seem to form words as he stared at her. Shawn tried to calm himself down but the girl he liked was practically naked in front of him. He nervously swallowed his spit as he stared at her. His mind could only think of six words "why was she so fucking hot. "Do you know how to lock your door?" Shawn asked her sharply as he tried to sound like he wasn't freaking out. Lucy rolled her eyes at him in frustration as he smiled at her. "You haven't told me to leave..." Shawn tells her flirtatiously as he takes a step closer to her.

He had a huge smirk on his face causing Lucy's face to get bright red. "Get out!" Lucy yelled at him. "I'm going...." Shawn stuttered as he walked out of her door. He nearly ran into the doorframe because he was walking backwards not allowing his eyes to look away from Lucy. He stole one last glance at her before quickly shutting the door. He ran a hand through his hair as he replayed the image of Lucy only in a towel through his mind. He wanted her.......badly..... and yet he quickly walked down her stairs. "You just got here... where are you going?" Cory asked Shawn as Shawn headed for the front door. "Home... to take a very cold shower." Shawn replies sharply before slamming the front door.
