Aakansha's POV
I ran to the village, desperately wanting to see Hayden again. As I got to the main house I hurried inside and up the stairs to my room, entering quietly careful not to wake him if he was asleep.
"Hey baby." He greeted me with a weak smile. I smiled back and shut the door behind, going over to kneel beside the bed, taking his hand.
"Hey babe. How are you feeling?" I asked quietly, squeezing his hand softly. He just sighed and moved his hand from mine to cup my cheek.
"Better now that you're here." He said as he motioned for me to sit on the bed next to him. I gently did, moving the blankets off of him to look at his wounds.
"They're healing nicely." I said with a small smile. "The doctors said you should be able to get up in a few days." I said as he sighed again.
"I'm about to just get up now." He said with a small laugh. I moved my hand to run my fingers through his hair as he spoke. "Did you go to see Kora?"
"Yes. She learned two new forms today. Her last two, a mouse and a white tiger."
"I always miss the best part." He laughed and I gave him a sad smile.
"I think she's still keeping her powers a secret from her pack, except for her brother." I said, puzzled.
"She just needs some time, baby." Hayden said as he pulled me down next to him. As I laid down he kissed my forehead, making me smile. Once I got comfortable with his arm around me there was a knock on the door, making me look up.
Matthew slowly walked in, looking at me.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt but someone downstairs is asking for you, Aakansha." He said quietly.
"Who?" I asked slowly sitting up.
"I don't know. He doesn't look like a wizard or a wolf but he asked specifically for you. I don't like him though." He said, simply shrugging his shoulders. I sighed and nodded, signalling for him to leave. Once he did I turned back to Hayden, giving him a sorry look.
"Go. I'm good here. Don't rush." He said as I kissed him. Before I could pull away to leave he moved his hand to hold my head where it was, not letting me go anywhere. Our lips moved together making my heartbeat go faster. After a minute or two he finally let me go, smiling.
"Ok, rush a little bit." He said smirking, making me laugh. I nodded as I left, closing the door easily behind me. As I went down the stairs I saw Matthew watching the strange man from across the room that I assumed to be the man he was talking about that wanted to see me.
As I reached him, Matthew turned to look at me.
"I'll leave you two to it then." He said as he looked at me, then the stranger before he walked away, leaving the house.
"Are you the man that asked for me?" I said to him, making him look up at me. He had on dark jeans and a white sweat shirt with the hood up, hiding his face from his nose up into the shadow. He was quite muscular, I could clearly see his muscles through his sweat shirt.
"Yes. You know the Alpha Cole's daughter, Kora, don't you?" He asked, jumping right to the point, catching me off guard.
"Why do you want to know?" I asked, curious now.
"I just need to speak with her." He said simply, making me shake my head.
"I'm going to need a better reason than that."
"Will you just tell me where I can find her?" He asked quickly.
"No." I said again, not trusting him. He just sighed, not wanting to tell me anything.
