Sean's POV
I cut off connection with my mate and turned back to Clarence, discussing the subject still at hand.
"So, what's the next move?" he asked me, making me sigh and shake my head, sitting down on the couch across from him. Our plans were still secret from everyone, and we planned to keep it that way for as long as we could.
Clarence and I had been staying at the witches house while we had business here. If he wasn't at the witches house, he was out doing biddings for our plans. He was the most loyal person I had ever met and I respected him very much for that.
Now, we were back at the witches house, mostly keeping watch to see if any of the Byron were planning on holding to their word and attack, but so far there was nothing so we continued with our own business.
"I don't know. Matthew still seems to have feelings for Kora and that's angers me to no end. I spoke to her brother yesterday though."
Clarence's eyebrows raised at the last part of my words.
"Did you two actually speak, or did you fight again?" he asked with a smirk.
"We spoke calmly. He asked to speak to me so I had no quarrel with him." I paused, thinking for a moment. "Although, he isn't that bad of an alpha to be. Apparently, he hasn't found his mate yet or he would be alpha already. As much as I hate to say it, I kind of like the guy actually."
"Yeah, I could tell you guys got off to a great start the other day."
"I know, but we settled our issues last night. We both agreed to put them aside for Kora." I finished. Clarence just nodded, sitting back against the couch his on.
"Ok, so the question still stands. What's next?"
I sighed again, not eager to think about that right now. "I'm going to speak with Matthew before we make any rash decisions. These people here don't need to pay for our mistake if we make one. I need you to trail him after I speak with him. He will either go to his masters head house or his home. Either one will benefit us in this situation. Can you do that for me?" I asked.
Clarence only bobbed his head in respect, nodding to my question at the same time as he stood.
"When will you be "speaking" with him?" He asked, using his fingers to put quotations around the word speaking. I cocked my head to the side and gave him a confused look. "We both know what you mean when you say you're going to "speak" to him." He had a smug look on his face as he spoke, making me give a small laugh.
"I hadn't thought about that, but that sounds like a great idea. I will talk to him today, but later. I will call you when I am on my way. I have to speak with Kora first. I will deal with him in the cover of the trees away from here. I think these people here have dealt with my wolf enough as it is." That earned a small laugh from Clarence as I continued. "After Matthew and I are finished I am counting on you to follow him after our confrontation. After that, we'll deal with it from there. I'll mind link you when I plan to meet up with Matthew later and tell you where. You need to meet me there before Matthew gets there so we can plan everything out with our surroundings." I said.
I stood and Clarence followed me. We gave a small nod to each other as we went our separate ways.
I reached out to Kora's mind as I went outside, running into the trees and pulling off my clothes before I shifted. I picked up my clothes in my mouth and began running towards her home.
'Mate?' I asked, waiting for her response. When she didn't answer back I tried again.
'Hey, I'm kind of preoccupied beating Damon's furry butt right now. Can I call you back later?' She replied hurriedly. I just gave a small laugh as I ran.
