Months... I've been waiting months to get him alone. I haven't had time to get him. That - that stupid, evil, monstrous man! He's a monster! He deserves to be killed for what he's done to me! I thought angrily to myself.
Just the thought of him alone made my stomach turn, as though a storm was brewing up inside of me. He turned me into what I am, he's the one who made me this way and has caused me to take this path. He twisted the knife, he forced my hand, he drove me to this!
It's the only way to set things right. The only way. Only way. I looked around the room and paced, as anger rose up inside of me, twirling sharply in my stride. I had this violent streak running through my veins that urged me to destroy anything and everything in my path. In that moment of thought I grabbed the nearest object closest to me and threw it towards my bedroom wall in frustration. After a moment had passed, sure enough the lights in my room went out and I was surrounded by complete and utter darkness, a chill crept its way up my spine, slithering up and up and up.
I listened out and waited. A noise sounded in the darkness. Foot steps, it was definitely foot steps.
"We'll have our chance soon. Be patient, we've found him, now is our chance to play" the voice assured me.
I snapped my head around, looking for the source of which the voice had come from.
" I have been patient, I've waited for months to get back at what he did to me! I mean look at me! He did this!" I hissed back, pointing at myself. "Look at me!" I screamed, my breathing heightened as I slam my hand against my chest to emphasise my point.
" But he gave you her. Don't forget that. We'll get him don't you worry, the game will begin soon enough" the voice purred at me.
The next minute I heard the cries of an infant and rush to the cot at the end of my room. I picked up the small baby girl in my arms and cradled her, slowly shaking her to fall asleep once again."I-I guess you're right" I managed to whisper, looking over the fragile infant in my arms. Scanning to see if she was alright. She was the only good thing that came out of this, the only beautiful thing. I couldn't believe how something so small, something so precious and beautiful could come out of this atrocity of the situation.
"You can save her.. all you have to do is play the game" my voice replied. No. Not my voice, the other voice.. it's not me it's someone else, I reassured myself.
" What if I lose?" I ask curiously, turning my gaze up at nothing.
"Honey, then the game is over.. unless we cheat" the voice purred in my ear.
"Cheat? ""Yes" she giggled, "Cheat!"
"Well... he doesn't play a fair game, so why should I?" I smirked at the idea.
"That's it, you're getting there. Just wait ok?" the voice demanded in a chilly voice, that was as sharp as the tip of a knife.
"Fine" I snapped back trying to keep my voice low.
I looked in the mirror and down at my child. She looks just like her mummy, I thought. I soothingly shushed to calm my baby in my arms.
"He'll stop at nothing to get her. He'll kill her and then you. He'll make you watch. You need to dispose of that vile monster before he gets to you first". The voice stated coldly.
Anger rose up inside me and boiled my blood, as I looked down at my child. Gritting my teeth I hissed; "He isn't ever going to hurt me,ever again and he'll never, NEVER lay a finger on her!".
The voice started to laugh historically and cheerfully said "let the game begin! It's only setting the game up now!".
I started to giggle, I can't wait to end his miserable, pathetic excuse of a life. Ahahaha-ha-ha , oh boy the game will begin. Trust me.
