The journey back home with the guys, was long and quiet. Michael and Kevin had barely spoken a single word to each other throughout it all. My guess would be that the whole ordeal surrounded Quin.. I could see that it was hurting Kevin the most, to see how fast his best friend turned on him without completely understanding why. I was told it was about her, it was no surprise there. Michael had always had a crush on Quin, since a few years back, but he never spoke to her, poor guy. Too embarrassed. Jake was also silent throughout the journey, due to the fact that everyone suspects him to have hurt Abbie and tried to drown her. I do believe he is interested in her but not as much as others. I would've taken him to be interested in Amy, he was at least a little bit nicer to her than the rest of the girls. But I wouldn’t say that he tried to drown her, although he was the obvious person that everybody would point fingers to. He is a bit of a dick towards most members of the group, I don’t understand why but I guess that’s just Jake for you and he would have his own reasons. I like the guy personally, I’m not particularly bothered if the others don’t. They just don’t get him, plus he doesn’t take well to most of them but that’s his business, not mine.

"So, are you guys excited for community service this week?" I ask everyone sarcastically.I heard a couple of moans and laughed as I announced, " We should have a lad's night out to get away from all of the shit that's gone on lately".

Everyone was still silent, although I could hear Michael mutter, " Not if he's going" he hissed referring to Kevin as he shifted his gaze.

I groan,  "Come on guys, you've been friends for years. Don't be falling out, especially over a girl".

Michael shifted in his seat and muttered in surrender, " Fine, but cross me again, then I don't want anything to do with you". Kevin smiled weakly, taking in a new start in their friendship, “ You know I wouldn’t Michael” he says softly.

" See, everything will be fine, that's one issue over".

I turned around in the car seat and looked at Jake, " Anything bothering you?" I ask him nicely, hitching my eyebrows up. He just shrugged and kept his head down . I just turned back around and turned the radio up.

"What do you guys think of Abbie? D'you think she'll go out with me? " I ask no one in particular and waited for a response.

" I don't think your her type" Paul chuckled in reply. I smirked a little and gave off a big smile, " Ahh i see, how about Akesha? you guys arn't official right?” i ask in curiosity, to see if it’s serious or not. God, I hope not or this is going to be hard to go through with.

I swallowed hard, and quickly replied, "No. We're not". I couldn't tell anyone we we're going out offically, I mean everyone knew we went on a date and now are really close, but we haven't decided if we were offical or not. "Is it ok if i ask her out? I don't want to step on your toes or anything" Jason asked me. Akesha told everyone that we were dating, well we went on a date anyway. But she doesn’t particularly like the drama, what I didn’t mention to anyone was the fact that the other day when we went on our walk she didn’t want everyone to know about us.

Two days previously;

“So” I lingered, walking down the path with Akesha by my side. “So” she coo’s in reply.

“I was wondering where do you think this is going?”, I say confidently, as we strolled further into the woods. She shrugs in response and states flatly, “Look, Paul I really like you. It’s- it’s just that I need time to think. We’ve been rushing this a bit too fast and.. and it doesn’t help with everyone going on about it, you know? It’s just too much pressure”.
