Chapter 24 - Just a little Fun

Ava

I was just about finished with work, as I gathered my things together to leave the café. Suddenly I bumped into a broad figure and stumbled back, expecting to fall down, only to be caught. I looked up to realise that it was Shane.
I let out a shaky breath and said, "hey". He pulled me up and smiled weakly at me. I haven't spoken to him lately due to the incident at the cabin with my so called, 'gift', we did speak but not properly.  Especially when I keep being sent roses nearly every day. I had to force myself to leave my sanctuary that I call my home. Any time I do go out I immediately rush home, to protect myself from the monster lurking in the darkness of every room I enter.

" Are you ok?" Shane  asks, holding me by my shoulders.
I quickly nodded.
I had told the girls about my so called stalker, I cringed at the thought of him but if I could tell them.. maybe I can tell Shane. Here goes nothing, I thought to myself.
" look, Shane I need to t-" I began before Shane I interrupted me, " Ava do you trust me?".
I hesitated for a moment, before quickly nodding in response to his outburst.
" Then follow me" he stated and grabbed my hand and practically dragged me towards his car.

Quin

Grabbing my last shopping bag, I decided to have a little walk around the mall. After I passed a couple of stalls I saw Kevin standing at the que for McDonald's.

Might as well hang out with him, I thought to myself. I walked over towards him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned to face me and smiled, " hey! Surprise, surprise" he exclaimed.
" what have you been up to? Oh we have to hang out! We should go bowling! Oh let's go bowling how fun would that be?!" I squealed.
His face showed a little bit if confusion at first, however it changed when he replied, "yeah sure, it sounds fun". I jumped in excitement and grabbed his arm and moaned, "come on!", as I lead him towards the arcade.
I knew there had been problems between him and Michael, but I thought that I could sort it all out and besides, I kind of fancy Michael a little and wanted to know more information about him.. not that it's anything valuable.

Michael

I was just about done cleaning up the malls food court tables and finished my shift. I decided to grab something to eat and rumaged around in my bag to find a cheese and ham sandwhich to eat. Suddenly, a few moments later my phone beeped, indicating that I had a new message. The number was unknown, but I opened the message anyway.
The message read;
'Go to the arcade'.
Confuaion struck me like lightning, as I wondered who would send a text like that. I decided that someone must have texted my number by accident and proceeded to eat my sandwhich.
My phone beeped again and I once again opened the message. The message read;
' stop gawping at that sandwhich and go to the arcade'.
I froze for a second, before looking up and searching to see if I knew anyone around me that might have sent the message. Curiosity got the better of me as I walked towards the arcade.
As I entered, I decided to walk around for a little while, before hearing my phone once beep again.
This time it said; 'keep walking a couple of steps and turn left'.
I did as the text instructed and found myself looking up and saw Quin and Kevin bowling together. I didn't think anything of it at first, but after what I presume was a strike that Kevin bowled he ran up to Quin and picked her up and twirled her around. I narrowed my eyes as I watched him put Quin down and she retrieved her phone.
A couple of minutes passed by as my phone beeped once again.
However this message read; 'up to his old tricks again I see'.
Anger rose up inside me, as I stormed out of the arcade.
He wants to play dirty? Fine I'll play dirty , I thought angrily to myself as I made my way back home to think things through.
