Don't panic, it's going fine just stay focused I thought to myself. This was the second time my family had invited Danielle for dinner. I hope it just goes to well like the last time.
"So, I was wondering if you both would like to meet my parents next week? I mean if you want to. I- I just thought it might be a nice idea" Danielle asked my parents nervously. She swallowed hard and slightly itched her left hand. Apart of me thought I knew her from somewhere, as though she had dyed her hair in which I thought might have changed her appearance. She did look awfully familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
It had only occurred to me with this idea when I noticed some of her habits.
"I suppose that would be a wonderful idea. When would you like us to meet them? " my mother beamed.
"On the 17th? If that's ok" Danielle replied shakily.
"Sweetheart, don't you have to go to your sisters for a couple of days? She's just had a child hasn't she?" My father asked my mother.
My mother Shut her eyes for a moment as though she had completely forgotten.
Suddenly she brightened a little and tapped my father's hand slightly.
"You can still go though" she informed.

He gave her a warm smile and nodded in agreement.
"Is it ok if me and Danielle go to my room?" I asked quickly, hoping to escape.
My mother rolled her eyes and nodded. Suddenly grabbed Danielle's hand and pulled her up, racing her towards the stairs.
When we reached my room, I hurried to shut the door. I tilted my head against the door as Danielle sat on my bed.
I groaned and asked her, "what if they don't like me?".
"They will".
"But what if they don't? ".
"Then they don't" she stated blankly.
"That would be a disaster!” I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air as I flopped back onto my bed.
"You have more things to be worried about than whether or not my family likes you".
"Are you kiddin' me? It would be the end of the world! ".
" No it wouldn't".
"You haven't told them.. well you know.. yet have you?" I asked curiously.
"If I did, I'm sure you would've killed me by now".
" I guess you're right".

I walked over to the bed and sat down next to her. I leaned my head against her shoulder and told her, "I feel guilty about it. I don't recall everything that happened but I feel like it was my fault sometimes".
"You shouldn't feel guilty, you know what sort of guy he is" , she assured me.
"I hate men sometimes", I stated blankly.
She kissed my forehead lightly and whispered, "So do I".
I sighed slightly, as she rose from the bed.
"Wait here, I bought you something" she informed me before she left the room.
I waited there for what seemed like ten minutes and decided to flop back on the bed.
A few minutes later she appeared in my door way with a smile on her face.
I arched my eyebrow at her and asked, "So, what is it?".
She handed me a red box with a black ribbon around the box. I opened it to find a silver locket with my name on it.
I smiled warmly at her and kissed her on the lips lightly and said, "thank you".

"Are you nervous?" Jason asked me.
"Yeah a little bit", I responded.
"I had to pull a few strings for you but because you've been helping out for the past year and have shown 'loyalty'" Jason air quoted, before continuing, " I managed to get you this interview".
"Thanks again mate, by the way" I said nervously. I felt my hands shaking, this was my first job after all.
"So I heard you and Abbie are going on a date", Jason stated in a purr.
I nodded my head. " I thought you said she's not your type?" Jason remarked.
"You can't say anything, what's going on with you and Akesha?" I argued.
" You know me, I can't possibly stay away. Oh, by the way I'd like to point out that I don't know where it will be heading and I have no idea what's happening with her and Paul" Jason pointed out blankly.
I rolled my eyes at him, I knew that he had a thing for Akesha.. he always had.
"I haven't seen Paul lately, have you?" I asked curiously.
"Nah I haven't" he replied.
