Chapter 8:

~ Taeyong's P.O.V. ~

"It's a new feeling, right?"
"... You mean with this new room, right?"

I ask as he tilts his head.

"Yes?"
"Oh, um... Yes, it does feel different."

I answer, shrugging as I give Dr. Suh a small smile. We later proceed to continue the therapy session. He opens his bag and places a blue folder on the table. I was curious about that folder as I really didn't remember that much about it. During my life here, all I get from the authorities were unexpected, bland folders.

"... What's that again?"

I ask, causing Dr. Suh to just sigh. I might be such a disappointment to listen to.

"For the tenth time, Taeyong, that's your criminal background."
"Oh, sorry."

I answer, staring at the ground as I hear him take a deep breath once more.

"It's fine, don't worry... but anyways, I think we should start the session now."

Dr. Suh states, later clearing his throat before proceeding with a question.

"From where we had been before, do you still think about the boy that you wanted to save?"

Not again.

"... S-Sungchan?"
"Yes?"
"Well, I do... I still do think about that kid a lot."

I say as he flips a page from his grey binder.

"What about this 'Alex' that you've been mentioning? Do you still think about him?"

I gulped at the sudden question about Alex. No matter how many years had passed already, I am still afraid of Alex and I know that if I told Dr. Suh more information about him, he will find and will choose to abuse me more than just straight-up killing me. Of course, I want to end this fucking painful route of memories but Alex is just too strong. He's a quick thinker and he knows what to do best to hurt his enemies and control them like they're his property.

"... Yes, I do."
"Do you want to tell me more things about him?-"
"No."

I answer as Dr. Suh flinches for a bit, later furrowing his brows as he probably started to wonder what was the reason why I didn't want to tell him anything about Alex. After a long pause, Dr. Suh picked up his pen and wrote something on a piece of paper as he gently slid it back into the blue folder once again. I felt nervous because I had literally no idea what was even written on that small sheet of paper. What if that marks a bad attitude? I really want to keep my record clean here!

"... Since you don't want to talk about Alex or Sungchan. Let's talk about the other experiences that might've given a big contribution to your trauma, then?"

He says, causing me to gulp and shift my position out of guilt. I felt both guilty and nervous because I was making a lot of inconveniences but I wasn't really uncomfortable around Dr. Suh. I started to close my eyes and just take a deep breath that would wash away the rushing feelings of shame in both my mind and my heart. Well, it was something that Dr. Suh taught me around the time when I was just transferred here.

It helped me a lot.

"... I've had a boyfriend once."

I stated, causing him to listen closely to whatever I was about to say next.

And so, Seongbin and I decided to just start dating each other because I got attracted to him for some reason. You may be thinking how much of a big fucking dumb ass I was and... well, yes. I wasn't really that dumb but I was turned into a fool blinded by love.
