"Should I even finish this or not?"

I ask myself, exhaustingly rolling my eyes once again as I read the document of another inmate. I know that I have to finish reading all of these papers in order to manage the inmates easily once I actually start working in the facility. I really don't want to have a lot of difficulties in handling each of them because I don't want to just die alone... for real. Plus, I want to make Mr. Moon at least proud of me, especially my whole family.

I don't want to let anyone down.

However, my eyelids are about to droop as I'm near to just drifting into sleep if I don't get another cup of coffee from the fridge. Yes, it's iced coffee, what about it?

Well, at least Jungwoo is having trials in the Forensic and Investigatory Department. I can't really blame him though since he probably passed that type of topic within the examinations after applying. At least he doesn't have to read a shit ton of documents at three in the morning...

Or does he?

Finally, I came up with an idea as I later tied my hair up into a low ponytail, making my way outside the door of my flat. Of course, I had my phone and my trusty wallet with me since I'd most likely pay for... a lot of food. I later rang the doorbell beside Jungwoo's door, fixing my appearance for a bit as I waited for him to open the door. Well, I didn't want to look like a goddamn idiot in front of someone like Jungwoo.

"... Oh? Y/N, hi!"
"You seem tired. Let's get some coffee?"

I suggest as he loudly sighs.

"Y/N, it's three in the morning and-"
"And?"

He sighs once again.

"... Fine, come in."

Jungwoo says, giving up as he finally lets me come in his flat while rubbing his eyes because of his exhaustion. I obviously noticed the scattered papers around the whole floor of his flat. So we were actually both busy with reading documents and that's actually interesting because my guess was wrong once again. This is also probably why I didn't pass the Forensic and Investigatory Department.

My assumptions sucked a lot.

"What are you studying?"
"Fucking shit."

He answers as I tilt my head, staring at him with widened eyes.

"... What?"
"I'm serious though. I'm really studying about... identifying how different types of shit look like, feel like, and smell like-"
"Ew?!"

I uncontrollably blurt out in disgust, causing Jungwoo to sigh once again.

"Yeah, keep on saying that but y'all need to know that it really is so damn difficult to do this shit! Did you know that we, the newbies of the department, had to smell a part of a dead fucking rat and a corpse of a random person just so we could differentiate-"
"Okay, that's too much information!"

I yell, grabbing his wrist tightly to stop him.

"... I'm sorry."

He replies with an embarrassed tone, scratching the back of his head.

"... Anyways, what are you doing here? And, what are you even planning to do here?"
"Didn't I just ask you to get some coffee with me, Jungwoo?"
"... Damn, my memory is just non-existent at this point."

The officer admits as he heads his way back into a random room without even saying a word. I couldn't blame him though since what he's studying is actually one of the hardest things to understand. After a while, he finally comes out of the room, wearing a hoodie over his pajamas while he dangles his keys. I raised an eyebrow, thinking that it's quite interesting that he's the "driver" type of guy.
