Chapter 13:

"... Excuse me but what illegal prostitution case?"

I asked Officer Kim as he made his way towards the whiteboard once again, pulling it down before turning the projector on as it flashed images about the current criminal investigation.

"This is during a crime scene from the building in Spain. Notice anything?"

He asks, causing me to frown for a bit.

"... Nothing, really? Why are we talking about the crimes in Spain, though?"

Jungwoo asks him back as Officer Kim rolls his eyes.

"Look closely."

He says with a stern voice as the two of us looked at the images and observed each detail "closely" just like how Officer Kim said. As my eyes scanned the picture, I noticed that there were two men sat at the back dressed in all-black clothing. It was a simple observation until I realized that those two men weren't paying attention to whatever's happening at the crime investigation, looking at the other one's laptop instead. It was odd since all eyes were fixated on the naked women and men that were being led out of the room.

"Those two guys? They're not paying attention-"
"And I'm glad you noticed it, Y/N. These two men were also at other crime investigations from all around the world. Those crime investigations were still about prostitution."

I widened my eyes at what he stated.

"Last night, I finally completed their face scans. This one certain person is named Robert Esperanto and he's... well... no longer active in crime because he has been caught by the police last two years ago. However, this guy over here isn't caught yet. The coincidence is that this guy's face scan looks really similar to the Spanish, multilingual billionaire, Alejandro Diaz."

He says, tapping the mouse as the slide shows a picture of the billionaire.

"I've made a theory that this billionaire, who owns a multimillion bar here, is also the culprit or somehow part of this illegal prostitution since he's in contact with Robert... Does anyone agree with me?"

Officer Kim asks with a shrug as the two of us, Jungwoo and I, look at each other with blank expressions. I didn't know if I should believe Officer Kim about this but if Taeyong knows something or any person involved in this case, then we all can confirm that something's definitely up.

~ Taeyong's P.O.V. ~

I started to daydream about my life if I just wasn't in prison. I ended up wondering if I could've turned happy or if I was a person with good morals and anything similar to that. I started to wonder if I would've had someone to love now or if I wouldn't have been hurt multiple times already. Yet, all of my daydreaming and wondering fell into one person.

Surprisingly, that person was Y/N.

I am aware that we aren't even that close and that we just started talking by now. However, that might change in the future, right? Maybe I could get to know her and repay her for all of the kindness she treated me with. But, maybe this is just a 'crush' or something like that.

But I do like her, though?

"You daydreamin'?"

I heard someone asked as I lifted my head up to see an unfamiliar inmate.

"... Who are you?"
"The name's Lee Minho, Hair gel user... And your name?"

He reaches out for my hand, causing me to frown in confusion. Who in the world is this guy? And, what do I have to do with him? It's such a strange event to even happen in this place. Why is he even asking me if I'm daydreaming? I'm just so confused.
