"... What?"
"Wow, you fixed yourself?"

Officer Kim bluntly asks as I started looking around the cell, not wanting to make a conversation about how I look right now. As I turned to look behind me, I noticed how Taeyong pretended to fix his bed like he didn't put makeup on me. Our gazes suddenly met for a quick second as he shrugged with an unsure smile on his face before proceeding to fix his bed. Damn... and it's just ten in the morning?

So, he's going to have lunch with the other boys and Taeyong has makeup. Of course, I don't want him to wash it all off... I just have to watch him later.

"Yeah, um... I did?"
"You look great, Y/N."

Officer Kim says, which made me tilt my head in surprise. Is this really Officer Kim? What did his boyfriend even do to him?

"Officer Kim complimenting a fellow officer? That's quite new."
"Yes, well, that's probably what happens when you're dating a very cheerful boy."

Wow, the two of us getting along in a conversation and talking casually like we're friends? That's an upgrade for our friendship!

"Anyways, we do have to go to the office right now."

Jungwoo reminds, his eyes fixated at whatever Taeyong is doing behind me before he walks towards the door alongside Officer Kim. I looked back at Taeyong once more just so I could see if he was done fixing his bed. He gives me a cheeky smile, showing off his neat bed with all of the gifts hidden behind his side table. I gave him a thumbs-up, acknowledging his effort at trying to hide what we did earlier.

"You didn't have to tell me twice."

He says as I smile to myself, later being pulled out of the room by the two impatient officers. The door slams shut because of the strong force that pulled me out of Taeyong's cell. For some reason, these two officers were always full of energy even in the mornings. I knew that there was probably an emergency but they didn't have to pull me like that!

"Jungwoo, you're hurting my wrist!"

I yelled, causing Officer Kim to look back.

"Jungwoo, let go of her wrist!"

Officer Kim orders as we suddenly stop walking, causing Jungwoo to let go of my wrist.

"... What?"
"You were kinda... uh... aggressive?"

I responded, causing Jungwoo to snap out of his thoughts as he took a look at my wrist.

"I'm so sorry, Y/N. There was just something in my head, I didn't really mean to-"
"It's fine... I just got surprised."

I replied calmly as I rubbed my wrist for a bit, still feeling the pressure that Jungwoo put around it. Officer Kim lets out a sigh as he later opens the door to his office, letting the two of us in. There must be something about the prostitution case again and it must be a big chunk of information. Officer Kim suddenly pulls that same whiteboard again as he begins to show us a video of a... supposed crime scene?

"These are just videos of parties?"
"Look closer."

I squint my eyes, trying to see if there's something wrong with the videos. I noticed Diaz, our suspect, talking to different ladies. Again, what was I supposed to notice this time? How does Officer Kim even have enough time to compile these random videos? Why does he always make me look closer at these videos?

"... Officer, I don't really know what I'm supposed to see here-"
"Well, then, you have to look closer."

He sternly orders without hesitation as I frown, looking around the video in frustration. Then, it finally clicked into my head that I wasn't supposed to be looking at the fact that Diaz was there.
