~ Taeyong's P.O.V. ~

After a long, silent night of deep sleep, a knock was suddenly heard against the glass door. I was awakened by a different officer as it wasn't Y/N, Officer Byun, or even Officer Kim but rather a new face. He was tall, slim, and his hair was slightly orange so I had no idea who he really was and why he was in my cell. However, he also looked very gentle and he had this sincere smile on his face so I wouldn't really complain.

"Hey, uh... You're Taeyong, right?"
"Yes, I am... Who are you?"

I ask as he chuckles before responding.

"I'm Officer Kim Jungwoo and I volunteered to be your substitute officer for today, Taeyong."
"... Oh, really?"

I was a bit startled but I didn't really know the reason why I was. It may be because I felt sad that Y/N wasn't here for some reason. But, we weren't really that close and I didn't really feel like talking to her today... because I was too embarrassed to talk to her and I'm just afraid of saying something that might bother her...

But at least I looked at her in the eye last night, right? I mean, that still has to be an improvement somehow.

"If you're wondering where she is right now, she's having a meeting with Dr. Suh. Oh, and how could I forget? Here's a little something from her, by the way!"

He says, unlocking the glass door as he hands me a large paper bag from the little opening he made. The paper bag looked like it was the one's from malls as it was even stapled shut. I was curious about this sudden package from her? I don't even know anymore. Y/N already gave me a notebook last week so what was this for? What is even inside this paper bag? I'm so confused!

"... Also, Y/N specifically told me to tell you to open the bag so... open it, yourself!"

He cheers excitedly as I return him a smile out of shyness and curiosity, later opening the paper bag. Pens, papers, a red pouch, and colorful sets of pencils? Did she just buy me a bunch of art supplies? I couldn't even speak out whatever I wanted to say because of the pretty sight of art materials that she bought me! I mean, even I know that a lot of art materials can be a bit pricey...

Wow, she really is just one of a kind!

"Are these... for me?"
"Well, what do you think, Taeyong?"

He smiled as I excitedly unwrapped each of the materials that were covered in plastic, immediately sharpening each of the colored pencils that I wanted to use. I was mesmerized at the bright colors of the pencils because the other way of seeing bright, vibrant colors before was only at night. I crawled towards the pillow of my bed, taking the notebook she gave me from under the pillow as I immediately tried to draw something. Suddenly, Jungwoo calls out my name as I soon remember that I still have to go outside of my cell and eat breakfast with the other inmates.

Just like what I've said, I don't like going out of my cell but... maybe I have enough motivation to just... go out today.

"Hey, Taeyong, you still need to eat breakfast. Y/N doesn't want you to skip a meal."
"... May I bring this with me outside?"

I ask, holding the notebook close to my chest as I really want to draw outside. The officer responds with a smile, nodding as he allows me to bring the notebook and the pencils outside. Obviously, I had to give him the notebook and the pencil case on our way to the cafeteria because... well... I was still put in these tight handcuffs.

But, there's something interesting about Jungwoo.

His grip isn't around my arm isn't that tight, unlike the other officers who walked me to the cafeteria before.
