Back to Normal? ch 14

----- Luke's POV ------

"WAKE UP SLU+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 

I was woken up by Beau screamig in my ear. He was hanging off of the bunk bed. I hated it when he did this.. My immediate reaction was to push him off of the railing. I was never really a morning person.

"OW! You little shit!" Beau whined. 

I hopped out of bed and made my way into the kitchen with Beau trailing behind me. Jai was at the dining table making his usual mess.

"Where's Mum?" I mumbled huskily.

"She was called into work early." Jai replied while shovelling weatbix down his throat.

I made my way over to the lounge and started flicking through random channels. Beau decided to make his way over to the T.V and stand right infron of it.

"What the fuck are you doing? Get outta the way Beau!" 

"You serious? You're just gonna sit here? Need i remind you that your best friend is traumatised and is living right next door to that dickhead who tried to hurt her?" He growled with his hands on his hips.

"You mean ex bestfriend?" 

"No Luke. You saved her last night so don't even try to cover it up." 

"Cover what up?"

"That you miss her and that you need her. No matter what Luke, she will always be your best friend You protected her for a reason didn't you?" 

"Beau you don't get it! She has not been completely honest with me... As a matter of fact she has ditched all of us and you forgive her?!"

"Luke, lets not forget about what you did last night hmm?"

"... Yeah? I basically saved her life i guess? I would have done the same for any one?"

"No Luke.. You did it for her.. Look I'm not even talking about that.. Maddi knows about you and Tash.. Stupid move Luke."

"Wait.. She saw that?"

"Yep." He said while popping the P.

I immediantly shot up from the couch and got dressed making my way over to the front door.

"Where you going?" Beau said while blocking my path.

"I need to explain things to Maddi."

"Does this mean that you will forgive her?"

"Yeah.. But i'm not sure weather she will forgive me." Beau stepped aside and opened up the door for me.

"Hay.. Be careful." Beau shouted out behind me. I nodded my head at him and made my way over to Maddi's house.

I stood a the front of her door and took a deep breath. Before i even knocked someone had opened the door.

"Oh hello Luke! I'm just on my way out to work, Maddi is up stairs. Tell your Mum i said hello ok?" 

"Sure thing Mrs Hart, have a nice day." I smiled.

I walked into the house and shut the door behind me. I briskly made my way up the stairs and stood infront of Maddi's bedroom door. I had no idea what to say. I could hear music coming from her laptop and i recognised the song to be 'Be Alright' by Justin Bieber. At least I knew she was up. I slowly turned the handle and opened the door when all of a sudden WACK!

"Oh my god Luke! I am so so sorry! I thought you were -"

"Christian?" I said while trying to get up off of the floor with Maddi helping.

"Yeah.." She said while sitting me down on her bed.

"Luke.. Thankyou. I don't know what i would have done if you weren't there."

"No worries.. Look I have to tell you something I - "

"Yes I know.. You and Tash, no need to explain."

"No no that's not what i was gonna sa-"

"Well first explain what i saw last night then.." I could see the look of sadness in her deep dark eyes.

"Ok look.. I kinda guessed that she had a thing for me. I was sitting by the rocks and she came up beside me. I told her what was wrong and how i felt so alone and well I kissed her... Don't be mad at her, it was.. Me."

"WAIT? You kissed her?" I could see that she was more hurt then ever.

"Yes but I was just.. I was caught in the moment, I really didn't mean to hurt you, I was just so alone."

"Oh and you think I wasn't?"

"Hay, let's not forget about you kissing Christian.. But what you did was worse, you actually chose him over me.. Over everyone."

"And why the hell do you think I broke it off with him then? Why do you think I apologised to you, to everyone? I just want you back as my bestfriend Luke.." She whispered with glassy tears rolling down her face.

"Same.." I whispered back while wiping a tear awayfrom her cheek.

"Wait.. What?"

"Truth is Maddi, I could never stay mad at you. I wouldn't be able to live with myself thinking that i had lost the best thing in my life.."

"Oh? and what might that be?" She sniffled.

"You.." I croaked. A huge smile formed across her beautiful face and i picked her up in my arms and embraced her with a warm and protective hug. 

"I've missed you Lukey.." She cried into my shoulder. 

"Don't worry I will never lose you again. It's just not an option." I whispered into her ear. I was so glad that I had gotten my bestfriend back.
