Over-protective ch.6

"Mum i'm going out for a jog!" i yelled across the house. I skipped out of the front door and down the footpath. Ahhh finally a saturday! plus a long weekend! I fiddled around with my earphones trying to un-tangle them. "woohps, shit sorry." someone had accidently bumped into me. "It's Maddi right?" I looked up. It was Christian. "Uh, Yeah. thats me." i smiled. "We just brought the house over there." He pointed down the street to the house next to mine. "Oh, cool. So i guess we're neighbors right?" He smiled. "Yeah i guess so." He laughed. 

Christian was a really nice guy. We started talking and wandering around the park. Yes. The Park where i had first met Luke Brooks. I guess it must be a lucky park.

***Lukes POV***

I left the house to go and meet Maddi at the park, just like every usual Saturday. I strolled out the house and made my way there. wait... what? Is that Maddi and The new guy sitting on our bench? I was so pissed off. I just had to go over there. "...Hay, umm Maddi Jai wants you to add your playlist to his Ipod." I lied. I just wanted Maddi to keep away from that creep. "Umm Luke this is Christian." I just looked at him and then focused my attention back to Maddis eyes. "Yeah hi, umm Jai really needs your help now." Maddi looked annoyed. "Can't he just wait 10 minutes?" She complaied. Christian just sat there akwardly. "No, sorry, he REALLY needs it now." She sighed. "hmm okay. Sorry Christian i gotta run, see ya."

We began walking back to mine. "Maddi don't talk to that guy, he gives me the creeps." Maddi frowned at me and took my arm off of her shoulder. "Why?" she cringed. "Just promise me okay? i dont trust him." I said seriously. She laughed. "Well Luke, it's gonna be pretty difficult since he's my new next-door neighbor." WHAT. "Great." I said under my breath. "Seriously, tell me whats wrong?" She stopped and held my face in her hands. I sighed and looked away. "It's just that... I don't want to see you get hurt okay?" Maddi smiled. "Luke, you won't loose me, i promise." She said reassuringly. "Ok, fine.." i whimpered. Im scared that he will take her from me. That she will fall for him. Wait no. Don't think like that. You don;t like Maddi, only as a friend. Ahrgh she's always on my mind. If Christian does anything to her, hurt her in anyway...We all know what the cost will be.

***Maddi's POV****

"Umm so where's Jai?" I said hesitantly. "Oh, Umm he must of went out with Beau, Skip and James." I knew that Jai didn't want my playlist. It was Lukes little plan to get me away from Christian. It was cute, but i was pissed off. "Oh.. right." I laughed sarcastically. "So, you wanna have a swim at yours?" He pleaded. "Hmm yeah sure." Luke smiled happily. "Then do you wanna stay at mine or?.." I knew Luke didn't want me near Christian. "Yeah, Mum wont mind."

We hurried Back over to my house. I got changed into my floral bikkinis and waited by the pool for Luke. He came out shirtless with fluro pink boardies. I couldn't help but look. Luke threw me over his shoulder and did a run up. We landed in the pool in eachothers arms. I let go and dunked him under. We both couldn't stop laughing. I could see that Christians bedroom window overlooked the pool. I knew that he was watching, so did Luke. "What the fuck is he looking at?" Luke said furiously while flipping him the finger. "LUKE!" i chucked and splashed him. Christian Peered away behind his curtains. Yes, i will admitt it was pretty freaky. 

We both got out of the pool and layed on the wooden deck trying to get a tan. "Maddi, i really don't trust that guy." Luke said laying on his side. "Mhm." I didn't want to start a fight or anything, but couldn't he see that he's just being to over-protective? "Luke I''ll be fine, he's actually a nice guy." i smiled nervousley, awaiting to see Lukes outburst. "Yeah but why the hell was he freakishley staring at you while we were in the pool? His a little perv.." Luke was going a flushed red colour in the face. "Luke, he was probably just feeling lonely or something and wanted to come over for a swim?" Luke laughed. "Dont think so... Just promise me you will keep away from him?" Luke pulled on his puppy dog eyes, it didnt fool me though. "Luke, I can talk to whoever i want! It's not like he is a 50 year old pedo neighbour, he is a normal 17 year old kid. Just like you and just like me. you're being w-a-a-ay to overprotective." I said in anguish. "Ok, im sorry but if he does anyting to upset you just tell me okay? and make sure that your bedroom curtains are shut at all times." He pointed at my window which clearly overlooked the pool and christians room. I laughed and agreed, just to avoid the subject getting more heated then it already was. "Hi kids, Luke do you want to stay for dinner?" Mum peered out from around the corner. "No Mum it's ok, I was going to ask you if i could stay over at the Brook's house tonight instead." I quikly interuppted before Luke could answer, instead he just smiled at me. "Oh, ok sure. Just remember to be back early tommorrow for the Park Fundraiser ok?" The park fundraiser was held by my Mum, Lukes Mum Gina and a couple of other nice ladies. It was a BBQ to help raise cancer awareness. "Yeah sure, I'll be back at around 9ish ok?" i grabbed Lukes hand and we hurried on inside. 

I ran upstairs leading Luke behind me. I flung open my bedroom door and rumaged around for my bag. "Argh were is it?" I found my big beach bag and stuffed my clothes and makeup into it. As i turned around i found myself in one of Lukes tight gripping hugs. I could see that he was looking out of the window over my shoulder. "Luke? whats wrong?" I sighed heavily. "Nothing, it's just that im worried about you." I let go of his grip and turned around. I could see in what direction he was looking at. "He was there wasnt he?" I rolled my eyes. "Yep.." Luke looked down. "Luke I"ll be fine." i giggled. 

We trudged down out of the house and made our way to the Brook's house. On the way Luke put his arm around my waist. when we passed Christians house i could feel his grip get tighter. In a way it was actually so cute on how much he cared about me. "Ay, It's Maddi! you staying over for Pizza?" I was greeted at the door by Beau and Jai. "Yeah, im staying over if thats ok with Gina?" I asked hesitantly. "Yeah sure Madds, i was going to ask you that anyway." Gina smiled. 

Beau picked me up on threw me on the sofa playfully. "Your crashing here ok?" I laughed as luke, Jai, Beau, skip and james all jumped on me. "Boys! if you're going to  suffercate the poor girl can you not kill her on my lounge?" Gina joked. "Skip sprung up quickly. "AAAHH is that pizza? are we eating pizza for dinner?" He could be so clueless sometimes. "Jeez Daniel, your so slow." James added. "Ok, so Maddi your sleeping on the couch and were are all the rest of you boys sleeping?" Gina was trying to sort sleeping arrangements out. "Nar Mum we'll all crash in the loungeroom on the floor." Jai yelled from across the floor. "OOH goodies D&M's!" Beau said in a girly voice which made everyone laugh.

It was around 9:00pm. we had all eaten our pizza and started surfing the web looking at random crap. "Umm.. what is this?" Luke was logged into his tumblr account and was reading out some of the questions when one caught his eye. it sai: you's are all faggots. We don't laugh with you, we laugh at you because of how fucking stupid yous are. seriously grow the fuck up and learn some respect. "AHH dont worry Luke, remember? we eat haters for breakfast." James assured Luke but i could tell he was still pretty pissed. hmm wierd usually he just shakes it off. "Well, looks like our hater forgot to put his name under anonymous.." Luke was right, whoever had sent that message had forgotten to change his/her details. Luke clicked on it. "Oh shit." We all said at the same time. Turns out the blog that had sent that belonged to Christian. "Just ignore it." I said bluntly. "Yeah guys dont worry about this little dickhead, just act like we didnt see anything." Jai assured averyone. yes, Jai was probably right. it was the right thing to do but i knew Luke wouldn't stick with it. "I swear if he's at the fundraiser tommorrow i will kil him". Luke said whiloe grtting his teeth. "Luke seriously its not worth it." Beau said for once being serious. "anyway what is this guys deal with you maddi?" Jai teased. "Umm we're just friends..." I said shyly. "Naaws but we all know what happens after right? you know "friends first?" James laughed. "No! he is a nice guy and all but i wouldbt go there." I could feel Lukes eyes burning into my eyes like he was trying to read me. "anyway im really tired." I yawned. "But it's not even late?" Beau whined. "ok then put on a movie." I said pointing at the T.V. "hmm lets watch LOL."Havent seen it yet." Yes i loved that movie. Miley Cyrus was in it and ive seen it like a billion times. "ew a chickflick?" Skip and Jai whined. "Shutup it's a good mvie." I poked my tongue out. Me and Luke were cuddled up on an armchair while the rest of the boys were spread out on the floor and on the couch. Lukes arms were around me. I felt so safe whenever he was with me. I was just so comfortable. I could hear his heartbeat and eventually picked up a rhythm from it. I blanked out. thats all i focused on. Lukes heart Beat.
