------- Maddi's POV----------
It'sbeen a really long and unbareable week. Having to see your bestfriend being in love with the person that you love is pure torture. Whenever i saw them together I would pretend that everything was fine when really it wasn't. Me and Tash were drifting a tinsey bit but Nicole held the friendship together, so did Jai. I just wanted to get friday over and done with.
I hopped on the bus and sat behind Nicole and Jai. Usually Beau would pick me up and drop me off but I wanted him to sleep in since he's been getting up early everyday just to drop me off at school.
"Hay hay hay!" Nicole chirped.
"Hi hi hi!" I chirped back.
"Thank fuck it's friday!" Jai huffed.
Nicole began to fiddle with her ear phones.
"We need to do something this weekend." She said reajusting them.
"Hmm I say beach? It's gonna be like 40 degrees or some shiz." Jai was right, It was the best place to be.
"Yes we can arrange that." I said while stroking my chin.
The bus came to a stop. Jai slunk his arm around Nicole as they both hopped of the bus together, being adorable as usual. I began to make my way over to my locker with Nicole.
"Maddi, invite Luke to the beach with us on Saturday." She ordered.
"I thought he was already coming?"
"Well yeah but he doesn't know about it, so you go tell him."
"I'm pretty sure his twin brother is capable of inviting him to the beach.. "
"Umm no, jai said you have to invite him."
"Why?" I whined.
"Coz, you haven't spoken since like.. FOREVER!"
She was right, I had to say something to him, just anything to hear his voice again.
"Ok ok I'll ask him in maths."
"YES! And Jai will be there so no point trying to hide." She said evily.
I began to rummage through my locker.
"What do I even have first period?" I said frustrated.
"Maths." It wasn't Nicoles voice. I shut my locker door to see Luke brooks leaning up against the locker next to mine.
"Oh uh thanks." I was so nervous.. and what for? He WAS my bestfriend.
"Uh I can walk you there if you want." He insisted.
"Ok thanks."
-------- LUKE'S POV--------
I finally said something to her. It was kind of awkward but I felt so relieved and I was so happy to be around her. We waited outside the classroom for the teacher, He's always late.
"So uh Luke, Me, Jai, Nicole, James, Angela, Skip and a few other people are going to the beach tomorrow.. Do you want to come? You can bring Tash.. It's all Nicoles Idea but I told her for Jai to ask you but then she was like - "
"Yeah sure, I'll come." I cut her off with a smile.
"Ok great." She smiled back.
Jai was infront of me looking over at me. He seemed pretty satisfied with himself.
