---------------------------- Beau's POV ----------------------------------

We started jogging towards the park having the usual chitchat.

"Sorry about that, Jaz is well... Jaz." She stated.

"Nah its fine, i found it quite funny actually."

"How was it funny?" She giigled.

"Well, you guys are like nothing alike. So I'm guessing you don't get on with her?"

"Get on with her? thats an understatement. There is nothing we agree on, half the time she just does it to annoy the crap out of me."

"How long is she here for?"

"3 horrible, terrorizing, horrific weeks. You might want to watch out Beau, I think she has her eyes on you." She winked. Jasmine may of had her eyes on me but the only eyes i had was for Maddi. It's best if i just keep my distance away from Jasmine. Maybe her and Luke may get on and he will finally get distracted enough to leave Maddi alone. Probably not going to happen, she was not his type after all.

"hay race you to the swings?" she smiled and oh my god, that smile could kill me.

"you're on." We both bolted to the swings which were on the other side of the park. She was a fast runner but i wanted to impress her. Running beside her was amazing. All i was doing was looking at her, she was a great distraction. Call me crazy but i would run next to her forever if i could, even if i lost my breath it would make no difference as to when i always see her under normal circumstances, not just running.

"Yes!" She yelled as she flung herself over the swing. She won. Maybe if i wasnt so distracted i could have won, but it was worth seeing her smile even more. I fell to my knees panting in need of air.

"Y-y-you hhh w-won." I managed to choke out before collapsing into the sand.

"Aw Beau don't worry! No one ever beats me.. Apart from Luke." She laughed. Now was the time to ask her if she still 'loved' him. I picked myself up and sat on the swing beside her.

"So... about Luke. Do you still you know.. Like him in that way?" Her smile shut off instantly. She bit her lip and narrowed her eyebrows making it obvious that she was in deep though.

"It's uh complicated." She sighed.

"You know you can trust me?"

"Yeah I know, I just don't want to bore you. I mean it's about YOUR brother after all."

"Maddi, I would never tell any one. And you don't bore me, I just want to help infact i insist." It was true. Everything I was saying was true.

"Ok. It's like this.. I still love him but I can't. I don't want to love him because it's just to hard. It was so much easier before i let all my emotions get in the way of everything so i figure that it would be better just to stay friends. I just can't see it happening for me and Luke. If I say I don't love him even though I do, I'll start believing it wich is what I want." She looked so deep in though and she had obviousley had countless sleeps thinking about the matter over and over again.

"I understand, I do. I know what it's like to love someone who will probably never love you back in that way." I blurted out.

"Oh? Who?"

"Just some girl."

"You should tell her, you never know. Maybe she likes you? Don't hold yourself back." She smiled.

"Maybe I will, one day."

"Don't leave it too late Beau or you'll be stuck in the same situation as me." She was right accept I was already in the same situation as her. The sad thing about Maddi's problem is that she thinks Luke will never love her back which is not true at all. I just couldn't tell her or she would change her mind about everything and I wouldn't stand a chance.

"You wanna head back?" Maddi's voice struck me back into reality.

"Yeah sure."

We started to make our way back to Maddi's house in hesterics of laughter after I had told her an embarassing child hood memory. She flung open the door when all of a sudden her smile flushed away. She froze, so did I. In the middle of the hall there stood Maddi's cousin Jasmine and my brother Luke sharing what seemed to be eachothers tongues. He pulled away instantly looking as embarassed as ever.

"Oh hay Maddi, this is Luke." She smiled proudly.

"Yeah I know Jaz, Beaus his brother." Maddi stated rather coldly attempting to not even look at Luke.

"I uhh I have to go." Luke headed straight for the door and straight past me and Maddi. Looks like she was his type after all.

Maddi still stood there frozen. 

"You ok?" I lead her to the couch with her cousin trailing off after Luke.

"Yeah, like i said I'm over him and his stupid games. First my bestfriend and now my cousin?"

"Maybe it was a mistake?" I tried to reassure her just to take the pain away.

"There are just to many mistakes. I'm not going to let it bother me. Jaz wouldn't know any better but Luke? Don't wprry about me I'm over him." She smiled at me but I still wasn't convinced. I needed to talk to Luke about this. Maybe he'd finally let me have her.

Hay guys! The next chapter will be BIG! So be sure to look out for it :) so team Beau or team Luke? I really want to change the title of this fanfic so PLEASE suggest ideas! SO SORRY about the late update! I was having a total breakdown about tests and assignments but i am now on a short holiday! so I will hopefully get the nect chapter in by the weekend!
