"Hey, dude wake up." Leon nudged Sandy by the shoulder. They were sitting on the sidelines of a Brawl Ball match, watching as sticks of dynamite, spike grenades and even people fly into the air.
Sandy partially opened his eyes. "Five more minutes Tara I'm... *yawn* on the final stage."
"Dude wake up!" Leon nudged the sleepy sandman more forcefully.
Sandy opened his eyes and rambled another sentence. "Not now, I'm in a cheese eating contest and the neighbor's beanstalk is growing bean buns."
Leon suddenly turned confused. "What the- dude snap out of it!" He snapped his fingers above Sandy's nose to get his attention. Leon, or anybody really, could never guess the random mess that Sandy manages to blurt out when he's sleeping.
Sandy snapped awake. "The Earth isn't flat I swear! Huh? Where are we? Did we have homework?"
Leon kept himself from asking whether Sandy was hit on his head as a child. "I brought you up here to ask a question. Remember?"
"Oh yeah, and then when I said I was busy you took my pillow and promised to give it back once you were done."
"Err, ignore that part." Leon waved his hand. "Point is, now that you're done your nap, can you answer my question?"
Sandy stretched his arms and yawned so big he could swallow a Brawl ball. "Yeah sure just get on with it."
"You ever notice how Spike never speaks?"
Sandy sat up so he wouldn't fall asleep, watching the match with glassy eyes. "Yeah so what?"
"You ever wonder what happened?"
"What happened... *yawn* Hold on I gotta use the R.V's restroom." Sandy began to drift off, slouching forward.
"Come on man! Stay focused." Leon snapped his fingers under his nose once again. "I've been here a long time but Spike's been here since the beginning!"
Sandy yawned with a slightly irritated expression now. "Why are you asking me then? I became a brawler after you."
"I don't know!" Leon raised his hands. "Besides the fact that you were just close. I thought you'd have the answer somewhere in your dreams or something! You dreamed that I was dating with my sister for goodness sakes! And only a week ago you dreamed that I was dating you!"
Sandy shuddered. "Don't remind me. Those two were definitely nightmares. Tara says it's what happens if you spend too much time on the internet."
The buzzer rung and the match was over. Each team congratulated or growled at each other as they made their way out the door.
Sandy stood up from the sidelines. "Well I honestly don't know. I dream about a lot of things but Spike's voice? Maybe get someone else's opinion. Can I have my pillow now?" Leon reluctantly gave it back.
"Do you have an idea of who should I ask?" Leon asked watching the magician walk further and further away.
Sandy shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe *yawn* try the original brawlers. They could have an idea."
"Hmm, thanks! You know I probably should have started with them..."
Sandy shrugged once more. "Hey who knows? Maybe the dream will stumble in to my sleep when I go back home." And before Leon knew it, he was gone.
"Hmm, maybe I will." Leon nodded. "Maybe I will..." Leon stared down at the distance, watching Spike and his team celebrate their victory.
