Leon stood nervously at the corner of Bull's diner, watching Crow making more of his knives at the bar. The diner was closed 2 hours ago at 10 pm. But being close friends with the owner has it's very few advantages.
Crow kept up this cycle of taking a sharp blade, dipping it in a black container filled with a unidentifiable toxin, setting the now toxic blade on the table, rinse and repeat. He did it so quickly and efficiently, and each dip of a knife made Leon less and less sure that he wanted to meet Crow.
He was currently invisible at the moment. He thought he'd at least spy for a bit before coming to talk with him.
All of a sudden Crow took a sudden glance to his left, and suddenly took his knives, stuffing them in his... pockets? Leon actually didn't know, he just made them disappear somehow and reappear at his hands in an instant. Before Leon could even react, Crow started to leave.
"Hey wait!" Leon went out of invisibility. He didn't know how Crow spotted him, but he couldn't focus on that.
Crow stopped and turned to face him. "*sigh* What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing".
Crow suddenly looked confused. "H-how? I go here every night."
"I don't know I just wanted to sound cool."
Crow sighed once more. "Alright come on, take a seat."
Soon they were both sitting at the bar.
"Alright what do you want Leon?".
"Come on, Crow. I just thought I'd hang around with you? Y'know? One legendary with another?".
Crow raised an eyebrow.
"Alright yeah fine. I just wanna ask you something. That okay?"
Crow thought for a minute. "Yeah sure." He muttered nonchalantly.
"You know what happened to Spike's voice?".
"Hmm?" Crow hummed, suddenly interested. "And why would you want to know that?" His voice suddenly changed to as sharp as a dagger, ready to cut Leon's throat if he didn't give the right response.
Leon gulped. "Uh, crossed my mind?" Leon shrugged nervously.
Crow sighed. "I don't know nothing about Spike's voice. You already know my story. Popped into town with no f***in* memory after the Starr Park thing. He just didn't have a voice when I saw him."
"Well he had one! During one of the first trailers he did!"
"Yeah, I also didn't sound like a f***ing child!" he bitterly cawed. He suddenly started having a coughing fit. Leon backed away as he started hacking violently. Once he stopped, he looked distastefully at the poison. "Ugh, I'm spending too much time with this stupid toxin." He refocused on Leon. "Anyways, it you really want to know, try asking Shelly. She's in his trio and as much as we bickered back in the Beta, she did know what's what."
Leon sighed this time. Great, another person he had to find. "Alright thanks Crow."
He started to leave. "Hey, Leon" Crow called out to him. "Next time you try to sneak up on someone, be careful where you step."
Leon's jaw dropped. "That's you could see me? By hearing my footsteps?"
Crow shrugged. "Well that, and mainly the fact that Bull covers the floor with flour every night."
Leon looked down and squinted. He could barely see that the floor was dusted by a white covering of flour dust, and that his own footprints where he was watching Crow earlier were just barely noticeable.
Leon sighed. "Seriously?"
Crow shrugged once again. "One assassins' advice to another kid. An assassin's greatest threat to his mission is his own oversights." and just like that, Crow left.
