Part three baby! Let's go! Once again, I have to emphasize that stereotypes aren't accurate and don't apply to everybody, and you shouldn't follow some stereotypes that some random stranger on the internet told you. Clear? Okay let's go.
Playing Colt:
I was a little surprised while I was doing this one. Like I was originally gonna put Colt as one of the only brawlers that viable in high ranks while also being one of the first brawlers you unlock, when I realized that I don't actually see Colt that often in high ranked matches. I mean low to mid rank yes, but high rank? Maybe once in a while. That's more then I can say then per se, Shelly or Nita, but given how good Colt is with high DPS, good gadgets, and being a brawler that relies on aiming and therefore the ability to track your enemies, it's no where nearly as often as he should be played.
I have two main theories for this. Theory one: he's underrated or possibly underpowered when compared to some of the newer brawlers. Theory two is that the average player isn't skilled enough to take advantage of Colt.
The first one makes sense, underrated stuff has always been here or there whether it's been shadowed by something better (Faux Fur to Bear Paws). But the second one just doesn't fit, since if the average player isn't skilled enough to use him, wouldn't that just increase the amount of high skill players that use him even more? I- *sigh* I just don't know man.
Backtracking from that massive tangent. If you see a Colt, be prepared for anything, because they can either be the Colt that hits all their shots, chains supers, and wastes no time saying anything as they crush the lobby, or he can very well be that Colt that somehow misses every shot at pointblank, uses his super and gadget to break down your own walls, and for the few kills he gets he insists on spinning and pinning simultaneously. Take my word for it, don't aim to be the latter.
Speed loader:
People automatically stereotype this as in "you're playing heist or don't have the other gadget" (and I would know since that's what I originally going to put here) but I honestly think this gadget is pretty solid outside of special events and heist. I mean two more ammo! That's two more clips that they can unload! So talking in meme terms:
"That's a lot of damage!"
When you combine that with Colt you'd think that the players that use this would be able to hit their shots to maximize it's potential. But in reality they equip these extra magazines because they need a backup plan when they miss their initial three shots... and then proceed to miss two more. So because of this, you really have no idea who you're dealing with when you see a speed loader Colt, but you should be able to tell quickly upon seeing their gameplay, like real quick.Silver Bullet:
Oh boy did I have some choice words about this gadget. This gadget was so broken that everyone everywhere switched to Colt just to use this gadget. Basically, it used to do the damage of 6 bullets loaded into one instead of 2, meaning that if you were someone like Crow or Tick and you got hit, you just get evaporated. Every high ranked showdown game was filled with Colts using this freaking thing. Correction, every high ranked match was filled with Colts using this thing! Nowadays though, it's used more as a utility, although it can be used to snag a kill behind a wall.
People using it probably recognize it as a strong utility, or to some new players as an ultimate killing machine. To the all the new players: sorry bro, but it's era of being of being broken passed ages ago.
Magnum Special/Slick Boots:
Yes, they're two different starpowers. The main reason I'm doing them together is... together is... *sigh, smacks lips* Look, I get it. Some Colts can be defensive about the star powers and how important or game changing they can be. And I'm only saying this because my friend is defensive about how important or game changing they can be. "Unconditional speed and range! It's so good! Blah, blah blah!" And all that. But seriously though, both of Colt's star powers have always been underwhelming. You have Dynamike's Demolition star power, significantly changing his interactions with dozens of brawlers. You have Brock's incendiary Star-power, which provides area denial but more importantly extra damage to safes or IKE turrets.
